These range from close-up to macro.  All were taken with the extension tube on various lenses.  Used just the kitchen lights and long exposures.  The hard part was keeping Jaryd from climbing the tripod.

This is the first time I have been away from my 2 daughters. I am at the beach. This is what I found yesterday. There is life when children are not here laughing.

I went to one of my working drawers and checked it out.   I found some matches, and like a kid started playing with them.  

Challenge 01 the storm

   Challenge 03 and if one is good, then three must be better.

As I keep telling people, there is no junk in my drawers.

One drawer was nothing but ribbon spools, some with only tiny bits of ribbon left. I suppose I should say thank you for making me do a little cleaning.

Junk Drawer Pens

I have been fearing opening my junk drawer(s) ever since I saw the challenge. Today I held my breath and did it!

Here is my Top Junk Drawer

Believe it or not, the middle one was not bad, so I moved on to my Bottom Junk Drawer

But I have so much junk that it becomes Overflow junk

So there you have it. Now that I have seen my junk I may have to throw some of it away!! I may even have to resort to my thumb remedy, even if it isn't the stuff in the bottom drawer.

AAaaarrrr...I be defyin' Aston's rules.  'Stead of dumpin' me junk out, I sent me trusty camera into the junk drawer.  Happiness is a versatile junk drawer!

When you've moved as much as I have in the past 3 years, you learn to keep things in small boxes in your closet.  Rather than bothering with unpacking them (man I'll be glad to be out of college and out of apartment life).

     I have cleaned out my three junkdrawers and shoved everything into one drawer.  I have found many cool items that I put away where they belong.  I promise these are the last pictures I will take of my junk drawer items.  I need to get my good camera out and buy a tri-pod.  I have been talking with a photo chick at work about the Nikon D80.  Does anybody else have much to say about that camera?  Yes Tucana25 it is your wife trying to spend my money.

     I ventured into the second junk drawer and found a couple things that made me want to shoot them.  Luckily nothing alive was found.  I did find some money which made happy.  I might have to find a place to hang the crazy little seahorse.

   I saw the new challenge and knew that I have three drawers in my kitchen that are considered junk drawers.  So far I dug through the top drawer and shot pictures of some things that I pretty much forgot about.  Some items found were stolen from work and they will not be shown because my bosses wife looks at my pictures on this site.  I should return those soon.  At least the top junk drawer is now cleaned out and ready for new junk to arrive.

Jaws Ties that bind

I'm not sure if I was intrigued or embarrassed at some of the things hidden deep in the junk drawer.  If this used to keep my gym clothes locked, that is one old lock according to my belly.  I used to torment my cat with this Laser.  If memory serves me right it went to the bottom of the drawer because she kept breaking things chasing the light.  There it is...I have been looking for that E string for quite a while now junk_drawer_snake
