Hope y'all enjoy!

Edsels Lost in Woods

By MrEd written 6/1/06 7:20 PM, published 6/1/06 7:20 PM

Been a while since I've last posted.  I've been busy working on projects around the house, but I wanted to submit an entry for the weekly challenge...

In the woods behind my house are several Popup Linkold Edsels that seem to be lost in time.  I like the picture best in Popup LinkBlack & White  My Popup Linkmother seemed to like the cars too.

I also found the remnants of an animal Popup Linkcarcass that I thought looked pretty interesting in B&W.  Looks a bit eerie.

And here's a couple of others unrelated to the weekly challenge...
I found this friendly Popup LinkWolf Spider the other day and was able to capture this Popup Linklightning strike during a storm this evening.

Double Whammy

By HistoDragon written 6/1/06 7:07 PM, published 6/1/06 7:07 PM

Possibly two traces of time in one.
What appears to be a grave stone next to a fallen and rusting lamppost next to the gates of a private cemetery. Age of grave unknown. The other graves in the cemetery were dated aprox late 1800's if I remember correctly.Popup LinkLamppost and Headstone

TRACES

By BusyB1965 written 6/1/06 7:05 PM, published 6/1/06 7:05 PM

Am trying another entry for the theme..think they will fit the category..We were at the in-laws this evening (and did remember to take camera along).
Years ago my father-in-law had a Popup LinkGas Tank on his property that was used for the farm equipment. For all you young folks we used to pay this for gas.. Popup Link``` and Popup Link``` , believe it or not.
It amases me that this Popup LinkStructure is still standing, there are all kinds of 'things' in the shed, for some reason this Popup LinkChain caught my attention before coming to the old  Popup LinkChevy..went around another structure and these  Popup Linkangels drew me, don't think the gauge had any water in it, but can tell that it has been there for some time.
Ah, the good old days when gas was cheap.

Historical Buildings

By Gnome written 5/31/06 8:16 PM, published 5/31/06 8:16 PM

Ok, I admit I'm the one posting all the low quality shots.  I happened to be lucky to travel around a lot for the past 3 years, and Europe is such a great place to take photos as everything is so different there.  Here are some more of them.  Don't look if you crave for sharp images.

Taken from the inside of a fortress in Portugal, you can see the Popup Linkcastle wall and trenches.

A Popup Linkfortress situated on the south coast of Portugal.

The building in the background is the famous Popup LinkPalace Versailles.

This might look like a boring building, but it's the Popup Linkfirst slave market in Europe.  Here is the trivia question for you, anyone knows where this is?

Finally, a structure like this will always Popup Linkstand the test of time.

Wheels from a time long ago

By starbuck written 5/31/06 5:56 PM, published 5/31/06 5:56 PM

These wheels have seen a lot of miles and time, I have taken photos of them before in the snow. Each year they become more picturesque as they decompose in to the basic elements. I took this set in a light rain. Traces of time: smoke stack part 1

By Savage written 5/31/06 10:21 AM, published 5/31/06 10:21 AM

I do not know the history of this building. I know that it has been a bar an grill and a club. I will do some research on it some day....
I am trying not to put so many shots in. I know they are hard to keep up with, like I did on my church post.
Here are just a few of the many I shot:
