Challenge: Backlight

Anything that the main lighting is coming from the back. Silhouettes would work. I'm thinking this challenge has been done before but let's give it a try.

Good examples. I like the abstractness of the second, best.

Thanks MrQ. That is an old, old shot. I'm thinking 30+ yrs. ago. I started with a white piece of background paper. I tore some pieces of orangeish paper and tacked to the white. I had the light low so as to get a fall-off of light the farther up the background. Two greenish wine flasks and a amberish wine bottle. It was shot with a Mamiya 645 Medium format using Kodak Ektachrome 120 transparency film.

Thanks for the 'how I did it.'
Isn't memory strange? I could tell you exactly how some shots were taken, but would have trouble telling you what I had for lunch last week.

yep, second shot as best...I really like them all--the first one for the soft warm color--the third one for the atmosphere (evening feel)..is this scene a 'stich'..the bottles with the soft/vibrant colors and curves along with the light has such a sensual feel--love this photo..

Yep, I also like the second the best. Great shot. And nice tutorial to go with it. I also like the lake shot.
