My Ole Pal He was born with a deformed right front leg. His ears weren't perfect. He was large for a Dalmatian and thought he was a 76 lb. lap dog. He got hair everywhere and I love to wear black. But, he was our pal and bud for 12 years. He passed last year and this was one of my last shots of him probably wanting a bone or treat or a butt rub or back scratch or his favorite, a scratch behind the cockeyed ear. I miss him. But everytime I see this pic, I smile. He was the happiest being I have ever met despite all his imperfections. This creature loved life, eating, playing, and curling up for a nap. His original owners were going to put him down at 8 weeks old because he did not meet AKC contest specifications. Who does? We took him and loved him and still do. His name. . .Alex. I have part of a song posted I wrote for him at http://www.davidcraton.com/mp3/stampede_tc.mp3.
The big goober!

Usually every Friday night I am at my parent's house in Queens (I'm the King of Queens) and the internet doesn't exist there. So tonight's post is special, I'm at home in Brooklyn, after a badly planned company holiday party.
Some things I've seen when looking down:
Thespian,Wm. Gillette, who portrayed Sherlock Holmes in the early 1900s had this castle built for his own private residence. Recently restored by the state, here are a few images of well spent tax dollars.
NYC is reaching the saturation point. Today was a grid lock alert day, which means it's so crowded the city street grid locks (see photo below)from too many cars. That doesn't stop us from walking over to the skating rink during lunch hour.
The children often say, "Teacher will take pictures of anything." Well, I guess today was one of those days.

I just returned from Germany and Austria just in time to post in the Look Down Challenge!!
Been travelling for the past two weeks and have not had to time to work the pictures that I have taken. I did take one for the weekly challenge.

This is my baby.. when I look down, I almost always see him :)

I've not taken too many pictures lately and none worth sharing :-( Not wanting to miss out on the challenge I found three from the past to share.
