  Just a small entry for the theme..Last night when I got home the driveway looked like a storm may have hit--hubby had someone come during the day and really 'top' several of the trees in front of the house...so for seven hours today this is what we have been doing....Same but different

Repeat Offender towed away at owners expense.

This is my first post.  I hope I do it right. It rained alot and my backyard was flooded.  The kids went and played in the water.  I decided to take photos.  While out there I noticed an ant mound and took this photo with the macro mode on my camera.  I like it because you can see inside the ant holes.  A few minutes later I noticed an ant pile floating in the water.Ants Floating Ants

My new Christmas present was a new camera (Fuju S6000fd) and had a hard time getting used to it.  I'm doing better and had a couple of days to do some shooting.

We went to Loogootee, IN to West Boggs lake.  A nice place to go to fish and have family time.  There is a nice resturant on the beach there that makes homemeade meals owned or operated by the Minninites.  I saw a tree on the shore and took another shot from the side.

My daughter noticed the reflection of the sky on the wet sand I could not pick which one I liked the  best.  There were some unattened boats across the lake that I liked.

A couple of days later I went to a local graveyard to see if I could get some sunset shots and came up with this and she was right in the entrance of the graveyard. Further down I saw  her on the hill.  I liked the light and shadow.

Further down the road I saw S/SGT Neal and liked how the flag is protecting him now.

...but different.

I've not posted for a couple months while I was waiting for my new toy - Canon Rebel XTi and a couple Tamron lenses.  This toy is the same BRAND as the last one, but very different.  I've only had it a little over a week so I'm still learning how to use this thing!

Here are four shots from my first day out with the new toy.  It was about 20 degrees when I took this one in the morning Covered Bridge Morning.  It was much nicer in the afternoon when I took this one of the same bridge but at a different timeCovered Bridge Afternoon

Now it is the Junior High.  It has changed a lot. We used to have dull boring  colored lockers.  This used to be senior hall.  Now it is the cafeteria.  Now they have heavy duty security gates.  We used to be able to crawl over them.  That is if we wanted to.  The lockers now are even too small to shove a person in.  I also thought this sign was comical.  What do you think? They didn't have the signs like that when I was in there....lol

Meanwhile, this shop seems to be into niche marketing.

If you have a bridal boutique, you really want a romantic sounding name with as manyterms of endearment you know, regardless of how much sense it makes.

MMMM...doesn't this sound appetizing?

Political correctness has not yet come to China.

And I hope this girl found her jacket in a discount bargain bin.

Well I went fishing for the first time and I was so excited.  Of course I had to take my camara with me.  So anyway on my way back in I was noticing the sunset these pictures were all taken in a 5 minute period and I thought it was fun.  A little strange how when you are out on the water you can actually tell how quickly the sunset happens.Love in the Sea .The Bay ??????????????????????
