Challenge: Down On Main Street

First I'd like to say thanks to Birdie for her challenge. There was no need to worry about it, yours was great, but now that I'm in the hotseat I understand! I've changed my mind at least 5 times.
The new challenge is "Down On Main Street." The idea is to take some time out of your busy schedule to shoot from your Main Street.
Take shots that show some interesting things , some not so beautiful things , some people , and anything else that you find . Show everyone a little slice of your Main Street.

This should be easy for Pablo, but I know this has forced me out of my usual shooting zone, so I hope you enjoy!

Next up is....... WILDMAN...... his suggested followup to Birdie's challenge was just too intriguing. Thanks Birdie and Wildman!

Easy??? I have too many main streets to pick from. Manhattan has so many different little communities. And where I live in Brooklyn there's five main streets I frequent, Coney Island, Sheepshead Bay, Brighton Beach, Bay Ridge and Kings Highway. I don't think I've posted any photos of Brighton Beach (because I'm afraid the Russian Mafia may kidnap me) but I've been taking many photos without a camera and I'll give it a shot. I like your examples, different perspectives, especially the pigeon shots. Pronounced Pidgin in Nu Yuwka. Thank you Birdie, really enjoyed your challenge.

Great idea for the chanllenge. Can't wait to get started! I have actually been eyeing things downtown that I have been wanting to take some shots of. Your example shots are awesome. You have a beautiful main street with that mountain in the background!!

My Main Street is actually a town square... but am assuming that is the gist of it...sounds fun! Thanks Birdie! Your challenge brought out a lot of really great shootin!

Lol you can come and borrow ours, if you want to call it a main street. I live out in the country close to Anderson and Redding, so I will have to find out what is considered main street out here and take some pics. Great idea.

Sopris, the tone of my first response may be too harsh and misinterpreted. I love this challenge. I can't wait to see all the entries. I got some good ideas to compare the different main streets in the little hamlets of Manhattan, Queens and Kings (Brooklyn) Counties. I started the hunt yesterday, enjoying it, thank you.

Hmmmmmm Definitely challenging Sopris. I too will have to decide where to shoot. Interesting. Haven't been doing well on the challenges. Maybe this one will get me motivated. Shot stuff for the last one, just never uploaded them. Lazy, lazy, lazy me Thanks Birdie for an interesting challenge. I enjoyed looking at everyone's pics.

Great idea, our town is new, it moved after the flood of 93, so there really isn't a 'main street' But I will figure it out, or just be like Pablo and shoot all the main type streets. Loved Birdies challenge too. :o)

First I have to thank Birdie for that super out of the box challenge! Lots of unique posts, great job guys!! Then I've gotta thank Don for those Roadhouse teeshirts, I owe you buddy! Now to Sopris, what a great idea! Another challenge post I would never have thought of. Should be fun visiting main street.
