Challenge: Abstract and Details

First and foremost a huge round of applause for Fuzzy and the 'Signs of Spring' challenge.  And a great job to everyone who participated.  Everybody did wonderfully with that one and I think the color definitely lifted everybody's spirits.

With that said I give you our next challenge:  Abstract and Detail.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm asking you to get up close and personal.  Break out those macro lenses if you have to and distort reality.  Well, maybe not so much distortion, but I'm definitely challenging you to question the angles, perspective, lighting, patterns and the scale of the objects you take pictures of.

Get down and dirty with your subject, figure out what makes it beautiful.  Make the small details that you wouldn't normally notice, pop out.

Make people wonder exactly what it is you're taking a picture of.  Everyday objects, events and even food can become a perfect subject for this challenge.

So go out now and make the ordinary, extraordinary!

I conclude this with out next Bi-Weekly Hot seat Nominee, the lovely Margarita!

Happy Shooting Everyone!

  • By the way, the cookie or 'food' was not done with PS. It was done the old fashion way in the darkroom. I can't remember the process exactly because it's been almost 3 years since I've done it.

Wow, I am excited about this one. Signs of Spring was a good one for many, but not for me because Spring is not here yet as far as growth goes. I also will have Spring Break more open to work on this one.
