Sunny Bell
It's a bit hard to say when it ceases to be a slimey, creepy, crawly thing and becomes art.

I posted a similar shot for the Abstracts and Details Challenge but not this one. I thought it fit the "Water" Challenge.

He had a good time on his first trip to California. I felt proud to be the first one to show him the ocean.
three weeks in...where do i begin? hmmm, let's see. we started this summer season with a trip to the third coast. my mom (who was just diagnosed with cancer) gave the family a banquet dinner to celebrate her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids! we had COCKTAILS and she even gave out AWARDS. a fun time was had by all! thanks mom.
next, my husband EVIL and i joined the REPUBLIC OF TEXAS MOTORCYCLE RALLY already in progress at the corner of RED RIVER AND SIXTH in downtown austin.
there were BIKES EVERYWHERE. we saw some things weLIKED and some things we didn't quite UNDERSTAND. it was about 90 degrees,100% humidity, and with 40,000 plus people and bikes there was constant motion and lights on the street and a lot of my photos were not as good as i hoped.
it was getting late and i'm not saying it was the margaritas, but, it gets a little BLURRYafter that.

I just really wanted you all to see some of a beautiful place that I call home and always will... the Gulf of Mexico on the U. S. side!
So today it's Bay St. Louis, Mississippi,at my parents home. They moved here permanently almost 3 years ago. This was their weekend home. Now it is fully re-done! Fully operational, fully ready to make me feel at home.
Please enjoy!

note: Hurricane Katrina ravaged this town and region 2 years ago. This town has done an amazing job of clean up with the help and enormous generosity of volunteers from all over the US and other countries. I am thankful to all of them.So is my family. My parents; like their neighbors love this place and have worked hard to get home and many are. We pray that many more will be as fortunate and
find their way home!
