Visit to Folly Beach
Quiet Retirement: I discovered some old rusty boats that seemed to speak to me.
Scouting Mission: A surfer surveys the morning tide.
Watching the Surf: Surfing is a spectator sport, too!
And this is me, finally brave enough to catch some sun on a public beach now that I have lost 65 pounds!
I've been expirementing with a few new lenses I've picked up, and barely finding time to take pictures, but thrilled at the results! I love Photography!
summer season farm style...part two
next, my husband EVIL and i joined the REPUBLIC OF TEXAS MOTORCYCLE RALLY already in progress at the corner of RED RIVER AND SIXTH in downtown austin.
there were BIKES EVERYWHERE. we saw some things weLIKED and some things we didn't quite UNDERSTAND. it was about 90 degrees,100% humidity, and with 40,000 plus people and bikes there was constant motion and lights on the street and a lot of my photos were not as good as i hoped.
it was getting late and i'm not saying it was the margaritas, but, it gets a little BLURRYafter that.
up next, mojo ARRIVES. after a trip to the lake to fill the scuba tanks with air, we discover that all area lakes are underwater and closed.
yeah, made no sense to me either?
well, it's off to the city pool to cool off and have that all importantFIRST

Just getting back from a vacation on Mississippi Gulf Coast!
It's coming back! Go! Visit!
A lot is left to be accomplished there and all along the coast but....
when you find a great spot visit! So I went home, it was ....normal and not at the same time.
Reconstruction takes time.
Fortunately,I spent 2 wonderful weeks of R&R with my family and took a few pictures.
Here is some of what I will share on this post, and perhaps a few more to come.
I just really wanted you all to see some of a beautiful place that I call home and always will... the Gulf of Mexico on the U. S. side!
So today it's Bay St. Louis, Mississippi,at my parents home. They moved here permanently almost 3 years ago. This was their weekend home. Now it is fully re-done! Fully operational, fully ready to make me feel at home.
How to spend the day on the bayou...part 1
Oh by the way... we only caught one crab so we threw him back and went to the casino for dinner! you'll see why later.......
note: Hurricane Katrina ravaged this town and region 2 years ago. This town has done an amazing job of clean up with the help and enormous generosity of volunteers from all over the US and other countries. I am thankful to all of them.So is my family. My parents; like their neighbors love this place and have worked hard to get home and many are. We pray that many more will be as fortunate and
find their way home!
