What do young people think? Is fashion a matter of life & death? Should customs and traditions be forgotten as we evoluate, or should they be preserved as historical facts? vakantza2007 vakantza_223
At the park....
Took the grandson to the park on Saturday. There were lotsa waterfowl hanging around. Couldn't resist documenting some of their sins. The fattened geese were so slothful that they won't head south...hey, we've got green grass here, why move. And talk about pride...have you ever seen a mallard with bling before? Couldn't tell what this sweet female mallard's sin may have been. Maybe she was the angel in the crowd. Bi-weekly challenge - Purgatory
Seven in one:
Lust - Admit it guys, you want her
Gluttony - (and everyone wants her goodies)
Greed - for their own
Wrath - and will do what it takes to get it.
Envy - But she's mine!
Sloth - For using only one picture
Pride - and thinking one picture will do.
7 sins
A friend told me: "I think gluttony is my sin".My answer: "I think all other 6 are mine".
Today I woke up and made some hand-made bread. I was thinking of giving it to a friend who really likes it. I couldn't resist! I took my butter, some blackberry jelly and cut the head of loaf number 1 (no name).
Finally, gluttony is my sin. I've completed the series.
Baby Tiger's Here! Pt 2
I had planned on doing a slideshow, but I couldn't get it working. Here are two purgatorial disciplinary Lulu had to take with her cubs...
Lulu didn't like her cub so close to people....
Lulu tries to move a cub away from danger...
He reacts like a big boy..
He realizes his mistake...
He pleads with his mom...
Now a little begging for forgiveness...
Help baby Tiger here! Lulu knew she'd met she match...
Lulu knew after that show she had to leave him where he was and he we back to happily chewing the grass...
Pushing your luck...
A little harder...
Way too far...
I said NO!
Pretty final, huh! Lol!
Lulu mouth was never closed during the whole exchange; she was growling and the roar and the end was LOUD!
Please forgive the length, it was for the challenge after all!
Comment welcome!
Blessing!

This is one of my favorite shots. The caption in my mind is, "Sometimes in the struggle between man and nature, man wins, and other times..."I will have to go with Sloth for my sin, and my entry in the challenge.
Challenge: Bi-Weekly Challenge: Purgatory - A Scary Place to Visit
As it is the spooky time of year...I thought...what could be more frightening than of being caught between Heaven and Hell. The Bible mentions them all at some point, but in 1300 AD, Dante wrote the the second part of his Divine Comedy. In Purgatorio, he wrote of how man could come from Hell to Heaven by climbing and conquering each level of purgatory. Those levels became known as the Seven Deadly Sins. In order, they are:
Lust - excessive desire
Gluttony - over indulgence
Greed or Avarice - love of money, or sin for personal gain (treason, bribery, etc)
Sloth - once called sin of sadness, now the failure to use one's gifts
Wrath - uncontrolled feelings of anger
Envy - desire to have something that doesn't belong to you
and worst of all
Pride - the desire to be more important than others (or to think you are more important than God)
Choose a photo, or photos, that portray one these sins. Or you may have a photo that portrays all of them! (You don't have to post all seven in one story.)
Thank you, EA, for allowing me this opportunity...and in two weeks prepare for your next photographican to challenge the Purgatory out of you.
