Another day another sunset in Central Oregon. A lone juniper tree in the forground and the Cascade Mountains in the background. Today the fog dropped down allowing the tops of the mountails to show better. I remembered my mittens today! Tomorrow it's back to the valley and home.

We always have pretty extreme weather here, but not the week you are looking for it, I guess.  We were barefoot and breezy on Thanksgiving Day.  But the wind has switched from the Northeast...and now we are "gettin' some weather".  Just a few shots from late afternoon today...

Dealing with angles every day. Some in the shot and some to compose the shot. Even some that sell the shot.

I think angles play an important role in what we enjoy doing so much.

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.

Your weather update fron Central Oregon is as follows....

Near the top of Santiam Pass.. Snow on the mountain
We were greeted by fog as we dropped down off the hill..Fog on the East side (That is Mt Jefferson in the background)
With the wind chill it was in the 20's up on Round Butte and I forgot my mittens but it was a  Sunset worth the cold. One more of the Sunset worth the cold..

We will see what the weather brings for shooting tomorrow.

I liked capturing the birdhouses, .birdhouses2
from different perspectives.  The angle is not necessarily an unusual angle from the photographers perspective, but a comparison of how an image changes if seen from a 90 degree difference>

One of the many advantages about where Patty and I live is the variety we have close.we have hot desert  cactus and  Lone Tree high mountain passes where it rains almost every day  rain on Red mountain  Fog on mesa,red skyAnd we get snow ice flow snow on the mesa snow paintingComments are always appreciated although I dont always agree. Thanks V
