Hi all, We just got back from a much too short vacation and then had to deal with the depressing fact that we had to go back to the daily grind. So I havn't been on very much lately. Anyway, I took these while in Destin, Fla. except for the thumb "Christmas Sailboat" which I took this evening on Christmas Eve. Hope everyone is having a very Merry Christmas.

My son Kevin was having a difficult time coming up with a gift idea for his grandma. She's 85 and has enough of the usual things ladies in her age group are apt to be given.

I haven't been able to take many shots on this vacation. Being here has reminded me of why I was so happy to go to college and get away from all this chaos.
There was one big package under the tree...I had a feeling it would be a camera. I opened it last in hopes that it was...AND...it was sheets for dorm bed. Completely deflated I thanked my aunt and uncle for the sheets. I was grateful for them since I only had one set at school. Standing up to walk to the kitchen to throw away all the garbage my cousin said "Hey Kid, we found something." Suspicious and curious I walked over and in his lap was another box. "Here ya go Kid, you deserved it." I unwrapped it to find a Nikon D40X box...my jaw dropped. No way. No flippin' way.
Christmas day while we were cooking dinner I took a small break and snapped a few,
The one type of picture I am really working on is people. It really is beyond my comfort zone and I always find I am rushed in taking them. I think that I have to have some family members do some posing so I can take my time.
Our Children were not able to travel to us for xmas so we enjoyed watching
The day after Christmas is suddenly here,
Do you remember Christmas parties at school? We had ours yesterday. The mothers brought pizza in for lunch and brought me gifts from the kids. I gave the kids gifts of things they could use at school or at home. We had an all school Christmas Assembly. Then we played games like "Around the World" (a math game) and "Seven Up". There were several all group hugs, and we passed a little toy around the circle while playing music to see what presents the students would get from each other. In all, it was a fun day, but I was really tired at the end of it.
Last Saturday was my greater family Christmas, and I showed you the decorations, but promised some family shots.
Merry Christmas to all you guys at Photographica. Here's a scan of Jaryd's first visit to see Santa. As you can see, he was overjoyed.
Wishing everyone here a Merry Christmas and hope this finds you having all you need and needing all you have.
It's been a while since I've had any significant time to devote to photography. But I have the next week or so off, so I decided to walk around the neighborhood today and look for signs of Christmas. I did not have a lot of luck.
Merry christmas to all, lets celebrate with music
Merry Christmas Everyone.
