Since we won't be having a blizzard this week, the nicer weather gets my seal of approval.

Seagulls, clouds, and soccer
A few weeks ago I attended to the last game of the High School tournament. A seagull watch the teams from above. Then the seagull decided to get closer... Now we all watch the team getting ready for the game. These are couple of shots of game and the clouds. I still have to work on the quality of my shots but I wanted to share these.

I got a early Christmas present
I have replaced my Nikon D40 with a Nikon D90. I love it!
Before I put My D40 on Ebay to sell I took some last Pictures of My friends at the bird feeder.

Another trip to the park
It has been a long time... I will not tell you who came along with me to this trip. From all the photos I got, this time I will share only a few with you... As we arrive to the park a lagoon full of ducks gave us the welcome, we got closer and I shot one of them, the pic looks just like so many I had already seen, it was a single pato but this one is mine... then I could not resist the temptation of taking this butterfly with me.... Opps! a jealous creature was looking at me as I enjoyed my visit to this place...
They all look like snapshots
I tried to take some pictures of the cookies that were made this past weekend at my wife's Christmas cookies party. They all came out looking like snapshots, like I took them with the trusty old Brownie . Or maybe the trusty Instamatic . I wanted to show the bright colors, Spritz_cookies , Sugar_cookies and Thumbprints . I also wanted to show the quantity of cookies these ladies made. All_those_cookies . The best was when our friends daughter snuck into the picture. Cookies_Steph None really did what I envisioned. Any comments on cookie pictures would be appreciated.
Christmas memories to remember
The grandchildren were over last weekend and built the traditional Gingerbread house . Belle did a great job of building the tree but looked like a deer in the headlights for a close up picture. Drew being the ham that he is.
I went to Drew's Christmas Recital . The 4th Graders were the main event for the night. They did a show about Bad Bart. who was going to spread Bubble Gum Goo all over the town. The town wrote a letter to Santa . Here he comes and there he goes . The Candy Cane kids becomes friends with Bart and all ended well with no goo.
Christmas means so many things but it always reminds me that it is not the destination but the journey. The memories created this Christmas canl be with us for a long time.

Well its been a while since I have solicited all of you for an opinion- so here I am again... and since it is the season of giving... please feel free to give an opinion. A friend of mine agreed to sit (stand and in general anything I asked her to do) so that I could further practice my craft. I cannot say enough about her, she was great, (a little sassy) with the most attractive set of eyes (but that is just me).....

Cathedral Rock
My last post of our Arizona trip in Sedona.
This is about as wild as I get these days, had to cross the river and set up the tripod on slippery rocks.
About the only way to capture the moving water and Cathedral Rock without distractions was just to get somewhat wet and risk the equipment a little.

DECEMBER SUNSET
Thanks to enigmaticfarie's help, I will try to post my first slideshow.
Last weekend, we enjoyed mild and fair December weather after heavy rains earlier in the week, with high 50's to low 60's. As the day ends, people enjoy the beach in various ways, and finally, a small group of sunset shots.
In the last sunset photo there is a reflection, of the sun I think, and I have no idea why. If any of you gurus out there have an answer, clue me in.
