Refurbishing the Architecture of Days Gone By

We have a building in our town that has served several uses over the many years it has stood. It was the courthouse and jail in its early years. It's been a fine restaurant a few times and a loud tavern too many times. It is now going through another phase of its history. It is in the process of becoming a fine restaurant with live jazz and blues music. It's a throw back to when Grafton was the home of Paramount Records, where many of the greatest blues performers recorded. (Gene Autry, too!)

You never know what you'll find until you remove the stuccowork from a building.

Thanks for looking. I hope you enjoy!

Neat Sign...Thanks For Sharing!

I love all the old Painted Buildings signs and ads. Thanks Don

Same here about the signs--our town has refurbished a couple of the old advertising signs. Okay, so we did two things right.

How big is your town Smally?

love the old sign with the brick exposed.

I really like this picture. What a great find.

Good catch! Reminds me of "if these walls could talk."

nice capture......brings back memories

This is a cool pic. It's always neat to see what's "underneath"!

Nice shot!

Moose, we got our second signal light a few years ago and there was a parade. Of two cars.

Hope the sign is kept..........smalltown are you serious about the two signal lights, if so, where is your small town.............we use to have only a couple of lights, now one might call us the 'red light district' because of so many lights, not the other reason.,

what a cool find, Don! I love old advertising in its "natural" state.
