Folks where not exactly thrilled with my PS'd photos of the sandcastle days. I was just trying to spice them up. Here for your viewing pleasure are the none PS'd shots, only thing I did to them lightened one, darkened one, cropped two, and resized all of them

Now...there you go. These stand own their own, these are wonderful the way they are...Excellent originals.

I'm loving your sandcastle shots Ashton. As a wannabe sculptor/artist myself, I'm always in awe of sand/ice sculptures. Thanks for sharing!

Good bones make for exceptional shots..... I still like the cranked up ones! But that is just me!

Now that's a sand castle - I can't imagine how they get some of these things to hold together like this, though. Are they mixing something in with the sand to make it stick together?

I do think the post work brought out the detail in the sand castles a bit, but I like these originals best. We have rocky shores here with little sand, so seeing these sculptures amazes me!!

Well, I looked at them both ways. I think the first shot was helped by the photoshop to see the focal point of the piece, the others I agree they stand alone. At any rate, very cool subject and nothing wrong with spending time at Padre.

i like the originals a little better ... A suggestion on that first shot - a different angle where we could have seen the artist "at work" might have made for a little stronger image ... But overall Ash, Well Done!!
