Biography
I'm 28 and I live in New Zealand...an evolving, breathtaking, living piece of art in itself.
I have a daughter who inspires and entertains me.
I write, I take photos, I love music and Life.
I've spent a lot of time moving around, just got back from three months living in Minnesota, USA and I worked out recently that I have had eight different homes in the past ten years! -
Artist's Statement
I'm relatively new to the world of photography. When I say "new" I have always loved taking photos. When I was younger I was a band photographer, taking photos of live music acts and giving them the photos for free...since I had a full-time job and my passion was music I saw this as one service I could do for the struggling musicians I loved!
It evolved from there to where I could see art in everyday life. So I could see beauty and messages in every day scenes or objects that others disregarded.
Now I am a full-time mother I have more time to wander and seek inspiration and take photos of the beauty I see.
I have no expensive cameras, no fancy equipment, just an open heart and soul and love of photography.
My most recent "Project" is entitled A Tale in Aesthetics in which I came to see the objects surrounding me every day as having their own tale or secrets to reveal.
It's interesting to ponder what the objects we collect and acquire over the years may actually be telling us... -
Camera Equipment
-An $80 Vivitar digital camera from Walmart.
- My mind.
There I said it. So what??!
I would like to challenge those who regard photography as an elitist art form, you don't need to spend thousands of dollars to be able to see and capture inspiration around you!
My camera is cheap, it sometimes takes blurred, crude, imperfect shots...which reflects Life itself at time.
and no, I can't turn the date imprint off!! -
