I've been "off line" for the past month or so...house remodel project took all my time...anyway update on my photo contest entry...this shot  Contest Entry   won a first place, will be on a calendar and got sold at a Willits Football Booster Club auction for $300.00.....all thanks to the great feedback from this site!!!!

Summertime in Willits, CA provides a Wednesday afternoon social affair at the Farmer's Market..there is music, fresh veggies, oils, flowers, and a time for gathering of the local folk!!!

What we do in "these parts" to cool down in hot weather is head to the coast.  It is usually about 30 degrees cooler on the coast than inland....all for the price of a couple of gallons of gas!!!!!

Willlis California just celebrated its 80th anniversity of "Frontier Days"...a 4th of July celebration that includes California's longest running Rodeo..a parade...and a funky small town carnival!!!  So I shot some photos to share with you and invite "ya'll" out to visit Willits anytime.  We're the gateway to the redwoods, close to the coast and friendly

Before we all get "burned out" on fireworks (no pun intended), I wanted to post my first attempt at photos of fireworks..feedback from those more experienced please.  I used a Canon 20d on "bulb" setting..totally by the seat of my pants as to how long to expose etc.

So some of you requested more pictures from my trip to Galcier Park and here they are..it is a real kick for me to share my roadtrip pictures..hope it will inspire others to visit our National Parks..they are real treasures and really theatened by lack of support from our present administration...just a note..these pictures were made in the first week in June!!!
