Haven't really been shooting much.....just haven't had the extra time.... but then I went to see my  Son in  Southern California .  It's really beautiful the weather, sunsets in So Cal   , and the Hummingbirds.

Then I had to fly back to my beloved home state of Florida and saw some of my favorite birds......

Sorry I haven't had the time to post or comment like I used to but I sure do still enjoy seeing the posts when I can especially when an old timer pops in....

I pop in when ever I can to see who is posting.....seems like a lot of old timers have been visiting with the "my best shot" contest and posting some great shots.  Lots of new to join as well with lots of great shots...it's really good to see Photographica is still showcasing some great work.  I haven't been shooting very much but I did get a chance to visit my  son and do a little shooting in S. California . But I was truly in heaven when I got back to my beautiful home state of Florida and everywhere you went were these beautiful birds.

I was afforded a wonderful opportunity to go into the park on one of the four days where folks can drive the entire 92 miles back into Denali National Park.  We drove four hours in the pouring rain in the middle of the night to get there.  It continued to rain driving into the park.  I began to silently think to myself this was going to be a wasted trip but then the sun began to rise.    Then the light began to shine through  and she appeared, the mighty Mt. McKinley. 

It was truely a beautiful sight.  Along the way we saw a few  critters.

You could see the beautiful  Fall colors.

This shot makes me think of mocha coffee Mocha Mountains.
