I put a lot of this in a photolog already, due to the fact that I was dumb and didn't see this whole profile area. Ok, I'm not dumb, just seriously ADD. Anyhow...
I was born and raised in Austin, Texas. I moved to Chicago several years ago, which I love, but I will always be a Texan at heart.
I have multiple projects going these days. Photography is near the top of the list, but I also write one act plays, short stories, and poetry, which all suck, but I enjoy writing. I'm also in school, studying mortuary science. I've always had a strong interest both in medicine and counseling. This field is not for everyone and it has gotten a lot of bad press over the years, but it's important. I could write a whole essay on the subject, but I'll spare you. And no, I will not be taking pictures of the deceased. I'll leave that to Witkin. (Don't google Witkin if you are easily shocked. You won't like it.)
I'm also an avid collector of unusual objects. My entire house is a giant still life. I also love animals quite a lot and I'd have more around if it didn't seem cruel and ridiculous to have a menagerie in a city apartment. Birds are my favorite animals and they are happier in the wild anyway. When I get a better camera, I might take more bird pictures.
