Entering Bowling Green, Ohio, from the north on I-75, you'll pass a sign advertising the town as home of the National Tractor Pull. The name says it all: competitors from around the country come to this town of 29,000 to pull heavy trailers with, well, tractors... while others - over 10,000 - watch. The sound is deafening, the activity... weird. But, you should be required to see it at least once in your life:

No excuses (worth mentioning, anyway), and not much new to show for my four-month abscence. My camera has been so under used it is threatening to return itself and keep the money. So, with nothing new to show, I have felt too guilty to come back.Thankfully, we are blessed with a webmaster at photographica that won't let me get away so easily. So at Cory's much appreciated request, I humbly stick my foot back in the door. Soon, I hope to get back with the camera; in the meantime, I got a scanner:

This fall I got paid to shoot football games. Considering my
quasi-dramatic, no action photo skills, I don't think they will ask me back.

What an impressive sight; sometimes nature does cool things just for the hell of it. Shots of the eclipse tonight, taken from the dog park down the street:

Thanks to all those who have contributed to the project so far; the response to date has been far greater - both in terms of numbers and quality - than I could have possibly imagined. Keep them coming!
The 800x600 Project
A couple posts lately deal with colaborative photography projects, and it just so happens I've come up with a new project I'd like you all to know about. A few months ago I posted Discussion Topic

First off, apologies for my latest absence; my new job and the unexpected high traffic at my site have kept me uber-busy. I wanted to share a few shots I have taken in the past month:
