Blue
Blue I didn't do this for the challenge, but the timing was right.
I didn't hit it. I smashed it between a socket and the handle of my tool box while I was assembling the box. The socket was on my drill.
And yes. It hurts like a S.O.B.

Some Days...
...the light is so perfect that you can do no wrong
It's Finially SPRING!
Kiss Me!
Warning: This pic has Trixie with field mouse in her mouth. She was really proud of her catch! Colt ate it before I could take it.
Are Those Tiny Legs?
This is a shot of Emmee from our Easter shoot at a local bank.

A Few More From Snow Day
Finally Got Snow!
It's been a while since we've had a decent snow without the icestorm that normally goes with it. Colt and Lily have never seen it before and just loved it. Trixie found a place to dig a hole.Remember to check the color of the snow before eating it. White good. Yellow, not so good.
Gather 'round...new doglet pics.
Yup, they got a bath after play time. They were just too energetic to keep cooped up three days in a row.
More Ovum Destruction
In my last post. I used a .22 cal rifle. These were shot witha .17 HMR. The bullet is really tiny but travels at around 2500 feet per second. The .22 short from the last post has a velocity of around 700 feet per second. You can really tell the difference in the amount of energy expended in the egg.Although this made some cool images, it's still not the effect I'm looking for. The next attempt will be with a regular .22 with a muzzle velocity of about 1200 FPS which is in between the two examples I've posted.
The result I want is of the egg right after impact, less expanded than here but more than in the prevoius post.
In case you are wondering, I shot these outside after dark in my back lawn toward an open field as safety is most important. The doglets were safely indoors.
P.S. My wife thinks I'm nuts.
Breaking Eggs Again
EggsplosionThe double image was caused by the flash being triggered once by the sound of the rifle and again by the bullet's impact. Shot was taken with a .22 rifle at 20 feet. I used "shorts" which are very low power cartridges. Next time I'll used some faster bullets so the sounds will be more simultaneous.
Thanks for looking!

From Today's Walk...
We have had funky weather here for several days, so we were glad to get out in the sunshine.Even if we all had to have a bath afterward!
