DAY TRIPS

By GODSGIRL written 6/22/06 1:28 PM, published 6/22/06 1:28 PM

We've been real busy lately. Too busy to share in a few weeks now so I am getting full of what I consider good shots. The first were some storm cloudsPopup Link1 , Popup Link2,  Popup Link3 , & Popup Link4 .
The next group of shots is from the Birmingham Zoo. This time we were able to get up close and personal with the giraffes and feed themPopup Linkg 1 and Popup Linkg 2 . As always we enjoyed the Lorikeets taking our nectar Popup Linkcup. Here is my friend having an  Popup Linkarmful of them and Popup LinkEmily's perspective . As we left the Tiki Hut one waited to fly the  Popup Linkcoop .The girls were up close and personal with a Popup Linksnake and Popup Linkgoat . Too close for Popup Linkme.
The last group is us at Oak Mountain. Emily on the Popup Linkbeach , Zoe Popup Linkswimming without rings and a Popup Linkfamily shot.

EVIDENCE OF TIME.....

By GODSGIRL written 5/30/06 4:06 PM, published 5/30/06 4:06 PM

I recently went for afternoon drive instead of walk with my youngest. We ended up not a few roads but a county over for most of these shots. We found several barns. The first Popup Linkbarn , I had to get from the road because my dughter couldn't make the trip to this field. The second Popup Linkbarn had a rusted horse corral in front. I loved the way the colors turned out in this one. But the most meaningful was this last one.
We actually knocked on the front door to walk back for these next shots. This Popup Linkbarn and the surrounding field gave us plenty of cool shots. I couldn't resist taking the Popup Linkbarn from a different angle. Then we came across the Popup LinkVW bug and it's kin out in the Popup Linkfield. The Popup Linksilo we found with a tree growing out of the top. I also managed to get a pretty good shot of the rolling Popup Linklandscape. And a beautiful blue eyed Popup Linkhorse.
Monday we visited the Birmingham Zoo, in the children's zoo we found an Popup Linkold truck , a Popup Linkstump , a Popup Linkwheel & of all things they used an Popup Linkouthouse for the spider exhibit. The oddest thing we saw was the Popup Linkalbino alligator . The greatest moment all day though was watching my kids feed the Popup LinkLorikeets. We have enjoyed this challenge. Thanks for the words of encouragment.

JESUS RIDING IN THE CLOUDS

By GODSGIRL written 4/7/06 10:37 AM, published 4/7/06 10:37 AM
Two summers ago a few friends and I were moved to hand out gatorade and snacks along with the scripture translated in espanol to the hispanics building houses in our community. These men would work from sun up to sun down. While walking down the street, I looked up to get a view of the houses as they were coming up the hill. The next day we discovered the cloud formation over the houses. Look closely. This was taken with a palm pilot. Popup LinkDESCRIPTION_HERE
