I took this photo the last swim meet. I was trying to capture two swim caps looking more towards the right (so that you could see the team name but at an angle). The girls were focused on the race. :-) What I like about this picture is how the swim caps are in focus and the background is not.

The colors are vibrant and fun.

This tobacco shed stands down the road for my house. There use to be five of these standing but three have fallen.

A year and a half ago I visited Jamestown Settlement. I found the thatch roofs very interesting. They're filled with rich textures and depth. Thatch up close and another view

I love my hometown of Apex, North Carolina.

Having moved here nine years ago from San Jose, California. I didn't think I'd like living in the southeast. It took me a few years to really settle in and once I did I knew this was home. This town is fun, friendly, happening, and CLEAN.

This is a photo I shot this picture last month of my daughter on the American Tobacco Trail. It was a beautiful day and very warm. The trail is beautiful. I used a Nikon D-50.
