Reflections

I went out driving yesterday and got some really good reflection shots; tried to load them on the computer and the disc had an error on it! I had lost the ones that I REALLY wanted to submit! To say I was ill is an understatement! Anyway, that out of the way, here's what I had LEFT after the error. window at the park Reflecting on childhood days. Different view of pond reflections. This one isn't a reflection shot, but I wanted to show how big the Canadian babies are here. Hope y'all enjoy!
My passion
I know this isn't the theme, just thought I'd share some of what I've been shooting lately. Enjoy!male ruby throat swan swans baby ducks orange rose petals multi-color After previewing, I noticed that the swans would fit in the weekly theme, but I can't use them; took them a couple of days before the announcement.
My version of "edge"

I have another idea for this theme, but here's what I've got right now. I didn't even realize this would fit the theme until I viewed it laterant on the edge. This one might not be too clear; I had to zoom it in after taking the pichummer on the very edge. Here's another one of her, but it's not edgy . This one I'll title edge of anticipation. My daughter, who graduated high school 10 years ago, went back to school 2 years ago and graduated Suma Cum Laude with her Associates in Early Childhood Development. She did this while being a wife and mother and doing all that entails. I'm very proud of her!!! Hope y'all enjoy!
New Life

Here's the first Robin to hatch out of the eggs I posted earlier baby robin. Found this guy the other day going after it. And, finally, I have my first rose of the season! It's only a miniature, but this will do until the bigger ones start blooming. Hope y'all enjoy!
I don't think so......

These are actual yards here; I see them just about every day, and it amazes me each time. yard work full view lawns mowed I, myself, would be kinda hesitant to call them, but that's just me. Enjoy!
WHEW........

Thank you, Cory, for fixing the site! You don't know how much you are appreciated! It's like the old saying goes, you don't realize what you've got 'til it's gone; it felt like part of my day was missing.....Anyway, being without you guys gave me a chance to use my camera some more. Got a couple of shots that I've never captured before black monarch yellow monarch. These Canadians and Blue Bills were sharing the same space in the pond. We have lots of Robins in our yard, and one has set up house and getting ready to raise a family. And, of course I have the obligatory sunrise. Hope y'all enjoy!
I'm having trouble.....
Just tried uploading some pics of flowers; nothing any different than what I've done before. I got this message: "Could not open file, might be corrupt or in a format I don't understand. (Exception 430: unable to open file" Can anybody tell me what happened? Thanks!
Fences and Walls

Spent my afternoon driving around getting pics of fences; got a lot of stares as I was looking to see if anybody was home. Found a few fences that will never need painting. Downtown I found a fence and wall in one place. Thought this wall had been neglected; can't tell it as bad here. Here's one of my husband's walls and the one wall in the house that's mine. No PS work, just put the camera setting on b & w in some of the shots. Enjoy!
Spring, at last!

I've finally got some flowers and trees blooming! Hopefully it'll stay spring and be done with winter......
Shadows

Ok, I was gonna try and get real creative on this "assignment", but I didn't have time to; here's my shadows. The one of the arch was taken a month ago (I know that's cheating; sorry!) and all I did to it was add a frame in ps. The rest are nothing special, but they're shadows. Enjoy!
Trip to Cabo San Lucas

Having not posted in a while, I thought I'd share our trip to Mexico with you. I've never been there, so it was a "culture shock" to me! As far as beauty, it paled in comparasion to Hawaii, but I had a better time there. We went deep sea fishing and caught a couple of marlins ; it was exhilarating, to say the least! I had never seen pelicans before, so I took numerous pictures of them; here's one coming in for a landing . When you come back from your fishing expedition, you always have lots of greeters wanting food. Here's one of the water spray behind the boat. The Pacific sunrise was beautiful! When a ship has to come in for repairs, they have a great way of hauling it in. Of course, street vendors are in abundance, and no one is left out as is witnessed in this small child. She had hit us up numerous times to buy something, but we didn't get anything. Of course, after I took this pic, her mother sent her after us saying "One dollar for picture". We obliged. The trip was great, we plan on going back again next year, but it was wonderful to get back home to the budding and blooming of the crocuses. There's no place like home! BTW, the thumbnail is of the sunset at the hotel pool.
