Music pics

Aside from a pub crawl I went to recently, I found I had most access to taking concert pictures a few months ago when I was in Quebec. There were several free outdoor concerts featuring Francophone Folk, Francophone Reggae, and my favourite country/rapper Buck 65. Check out Buck (http://www.buck65.com/), he's most excellent!
And for $hits and giggles, here's a hard core groupie for everyone... :)
Where to start???
Went to a cool annual lantern festival in East Van. Lots of hippies around. It's great!
Vancouver also has an annual fireworks competition that I love to attend. You have to sit on the beach for a while and wait for the show to start , and all you can do is look at boring things around you.
I've visted a couple of lakes in our nice and hot August. I saw some interesting people and wild life. While up in the interior, you absolutely must visit the award winning okanagan wineries. On the way to and from the lakes, there's always something interesting to shoot when you're not driving. :)
As well as all this travel, I've also bought my first home!!! Here's part of my new view. I'm moving in 2 weeks, and then hope to hunker down and spend more time on Photographica... ;)
Hope everyone's been well and like my latest pics!
S&M

So, I decided to plant a dead willow tree in my front garden. It will need both strength and determination to live...
On the flipside, these fawkers are very determined to rip apart my house from the inside out and they have the strength to do it.
All titillation aside, I found this theme very hard. Thanks KayN for the challenge! However, I am still not happy with my results. Here's hoping I have the S&D to try again...
Indy? Is that you?

Aside from the climbing, exploring, and interesting rock creations, it was very interesting to learn how the vampire bats go out at night, suck blood from the farmer's cows, then come back to the caves to sleep. As they sleep (upside down), the blood drips from their mouths onto the rocks below.
Our trusty guide kept the snakes at bay and saved us from the rock monsters. Though there wasn't much he could do against the acid falls.
So, now everyone has lived vicariously through my spelunking. Hope you enjoy! My digicam at the time sure didn't... ;)
Doors, Windows, Skaters

While taking this window shot, I found something nearby... Some Canon Fodder for SurferGuy...
Also while walking around, I took some pics that MattMan might like.
Skater 1
Skater 2
Skater 3 and finally...
Skater 4
Hope you like them!
I won (3rd in) a Canada-wide photo contest!

Which one do you think won? Which one do you like best? How could they be improved?
Warming up to abstraction...

or was it on a box? Or is that actually a room corner?
Hm.
Better to just mellow out...
Tuff assignment...

Damn me and my rational, non-abstract mind!
No god here

There was a serene feeling all around as the hunters, protectors, and entertainers were out in full force.
So many shots and ships, it can become overwhelming!
Weekend almost here!

Thanks Barbie!
ps. Flash photos were from last BBQ season and are therefore ineligable for the "contest". However, stay tuned for this weekend's photo goodness...
Sick dude... Sick...

Anyone used this stuff before?
