Infrared with a Canon G9

Trying a new technique with my Canon G9.  Bought a filter/lens adaptor for my Canon G9.  Attached a 58mm IR filterI had laying around.  Set the Color to Sepia for one shot, and B&W for the second shot, used the timer so that there would be no blur. Sepia IR    BW IR   Let me know what you guy's think.  This looks like a very promising way of producing IR shots.  ANd there is no postproduction software work needed.  It is all done in the camera.  Details for the shots.  F2.8, 0.6 sec. exposure, Iso was at 200.  Everything was set for automatic except the ISO.  I normally leave that at 200.  Now, I wonder if I can do something similar with my Nikon D300.  Thanks for listening to my long winded speech.

I was in the middle of nowhere this weekend.  Where is the middle of nowhere you ask??  It is about 10 miles north of Kingman Arizona, on a back road heading to Lake Meade, the largest man made lake in the world.  See some of my other posts.  I will try to get some more shots this coming weekend.  Tech info, 12-24 Sigma HSM @ 18mm, Nikon D100 1/400 F11 ISO 200 Popup LinkMiddle of Nowhere

In Sept. 2004, I went rafting through the Grand Canyon.  After departing Lee's Ferry you travel under Popup LinkNavajo Bridge. Watch out for Popup LinkEddy's a large one can trap a boat.  Getting Popup LinkDeeper in the Canyon.  Along the way we visited numerous waterfalls  Popup LinkSmall waterfall 1  Popup LinkSmall waterfall 2 .
