Remembering last summer

And looking forward to this summer.
A time to wake up early, enjoy the cool air, and catch the moring's sunrise. Take a walk along the lake shore and watch the birds, watch while the boaters enjoy a morning work out. Catch a spider in the grass and just plain enjoy the cattails.

Bi-weekly challenge - Windows
Subtitle: DistractionsI found some interesting window at a Christian school. As I was snapping away, I got distracted by some geese coming in for a landing. Shortly they started walking, golf club house in background. After their snack, they flew away Flying. Returning to my original quest, I finished up with these two: School side School reflection

A walk in the park - part 2
Some more pictures from a walk. A Hawk flying W-A-Y up high. This House is a little batty. While just a migrating visitor, I caught this Loon. This one was doing its water dance Loon. (I know the last two aren’t the best, but it was a first for me.) Every pond needs a Nessie.
Bonus: from home, not the pond, a Crocus
A walk in the park - part 1
Over the weekend I took a walk in a park, it felt good to be outside without a jacket on! There was a stream going through the park, and there were some geese (of course, why else would I be out there!)Bossy and ReflectionThere were even some Ducks flying around. A rather large
duck panorama (strange colors caused by compression.)
The next morning I went out a caught this rather mediocre sun rise
Bi-weekly challenge - Arts and Crafts
Arts and craft in town.A Flower bed, I liked this one cause the walls look parallel, but aren’t.
Around the house.
A I was able to capture this butterfly and some High kickers
Spring?
I think spring has gotten a toe hold here. The Crocus are budding and a few are even blooming (1) blooming (2). The Junco are enjoying the dry land. Even the tree is starting to bud. We've put away the snow shovels, so next week we will probably get dumped on!
Reflections in a frozen pond
Last Saturday night we had a light dusting of snow (well, at least it wasn't three feet!). Sunday was gloomy, with a brisk wind, but really wasn't all that bad outside. Being bored and tired of being cooped up inside, I went for a little walk to a pond about ten minutes away. The pond was still half frozen which made these reflections all the more fun to take.reflection 01
