Here's some shots heading N. of Coos Bay, OR on 101.
We were heading toward McMinnville, OR to see Howard Hughe's Spruce Goose on a tight time schedule so didn't get much of a chance to stop and view (shoot) the scenery.
Will do a post later on the Spruce Goose.
Oregon 3 (from the car)
Had the pleasure of flying to Coos Bay, Oregon to visit our son and family.
We left Grand Rapids, MI to Denver to San Francisco to Coos Bay.
On lay-overs waiting for the next flight wandered around the terminals and shot some of the art work used in Advertising, Restaurants, etc., etc.
Thought I would share.
Seen some Bees buzzing around the Cosmos. Put the Canon on a tri-pod but they would only stay for just a second or two and couldn't get the tri-pod moved quickly enough.
Pulled off the pod set the camera at 1/350 sec. - shutter Priority - Focal Length 250mm - ISO 400 - Manual focus.
Cosmos are somewhat soft but my attention, focus wise, was on the Bees.
It was bright sunlight.
I did some cropping to get closer.
I haven't done much if this type of shooting so - - -
Any suggestions on how to improve would certaintly be appreciated.
Thanks for looking.
World Record Brown Trout
Warning! Dead Fish Pic
Please excuse me from straying from the norm here on Photographica but we are so proud of this World Record Fish - I just had to.
My son runs a salmon charter out of Manistee MI. He had just came in from a charter and one of his fellow captains told him to go down to Tim Rollers' Charters and take a look at a beautiful Brown.
It is un-officially a world record.
My son took the pic.
