When things suck I go driving with my camera, so this weekend it was time and since I have been missing the elk I drove there.  My entry for still life is:

The bird might be blurry, I couldn't tell as I think the background was messing with my eyes, my family said it was in focus.  I was taking pics of an elk and he popped in for a second and was gone, didn't have much time to do anything but hope for the best.

I sure am wishing for a 50mm to 500mm!  These guys stay just a bit too far away from my little 300mm.  I have been spending at least one day a week trying to get photos of these beautiful birds.  I took well over 500 yesterday, but wasn't really happy with any.  The foggy, cloudy days sure make it fun.  Here are 2 that I sorta liked, hope you do too.

Sunday I got up early and went looking for the bald eagles.  It was deer hunting season and there were people near the nest so I decided to be safe and not go there.  This is about the only decent shot I got.  I did see an immature baldie but only got a shot of his back and he was a bit too far away.

At our Christmas party we all got a signed baseball.  I work for a vinyl fencing company and we sold him a fence.  My bosses got to meet him and said it was awesome!  I am a big Cards fan so this is a great gift!

Well I know I have been a slacker on posting and almost as bad at commenting.  I have taken lots of photos, just so many I don't know where to start with the resizing and stuff so I can post!  I have ideas for MrQ's challenge, just haven't put them together yet.  I worked on these really quick last night.

He is always fun to watch when at the St. Louis Zoo.  He had a banana and was scooping out the banana from the peel with those long nails.  He was very careful about it.  His blue eyes really make you take a second look.
