Biography
I live with my wife in a small town in eastern Kentucky. We love to travel and take pictures of everything along our way. There is so much in this world to see and our pictures help us remember so much that we otherwise would have forgotten.
I've always enjoyed taking and experimenting with pictures. Way back in high school my first camera was a 110 film camera. I can remember putting plastic wrap over the lens and poking a small hole in the middle to get the 'blurred background' look. It wasn't much, but it worked surprisingly well.
Fortunately, I’ve advanced a little since those days. I’ve taken a lot of photographs since then, but I still enjoy looking at those old 110 film pictures and taking a journey back through time. So many people and things still exist in those photos that have long gone from our world today. The most important lesson I’ve learned about photography is that if you think about taking a picture of someone or something, then do it!

Camera Equipment
I began with a Canon Powershot A70, but now use a Canon S2IS. At the very least I carry a pocket sized tripod, and often a full sized one. I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 and Picasa for the majority of my adjustments. -
