Angel Oak

By Roundabout written 7/22/08 5:34 PM, published 7/22/08 5:35 PM

This is the beautiful and magnificent  Angel Oak Tree near Charleston South Carolina.  " The Tree" as the locals call it is estimated to be about 1400 years old.  It's branches are as big as most trees trunks.  It's trunk is nearly 25 feet around!  It is humbling to just be in it's presence.

Louisville At Night

My wife and I recently spent a few nights in Louisville  Ky.  We couldn't resist taking a few night shots.     We saw the Colgate Clock , and an old Railroad Bridge .  There has been a lot of recent rains and the Ohio River  was really swirling!

My Best

I've been looking through my pictures and trying to figure out which one is my very best.  I've narrowed it down to these twelve.  If you had to pick just one, which would you choose?  What made you decide to pick that one?1_Toronto_Ship 2_Niagra_Falls 3_Fountain 4_Chicago 5_Greenville_SC 6_Greenville_Reedy_R 7_Maine 8_Bass_Harbor_Maine 9_Lexington_KY 10_Butteryfly 11_Charleston_Sunset 12_Sisters_Bay

Thanks in advance for your input.  I'm really trying to develop my photographic eye and skill.  Feel free to offer any kind of criticism.

Greenville SC after Dark

By Roundabout written 10/29/06 1:09 AM, published 10/29/06 1:39 PM

My wife and I just spent a beautiful weekend in Greenville SC.  We took some decent after dark shots. We thought these would go well with the "Conquer Your Fears" challenge because my wife and I don't really care alot about heights and water.  While shooting these pictures we found ourselves on a shakey suspension bridge  over a waterfall!  There were some really pretty views from the bridge.  I really like the tree in this shot.  There was also a pretty fountain downtown.     Whew, we're glad that's over:)

We hope you enjoyed our photos!
