I cannot believe it has been a year since I have posted here. Wow, time really does pass between our fingers as if we tried to catch a whisper. The Future Belongs I have kept myself busy trying to market my skills while building them. This last year I have spent a lot of time in the digital darkroom.

A couple from RAW

By SGVPhotography written 6/23/06 9:21 PM, published 6/23/06 9:21 PM

I went out the other day and tried shooting RAW. I am limited to about 23 pics right now as I only have a 256MB CF card. But it is enough to get the idea of shooting RAW. I find RAW provides MUCH better control and the best part is the original stays that way...as an original.

Linden Hills Mansions

By SGVPhotography written 11/8/05 12:01 PM, published 11/8/05 12:01 PM

In Little Falls Minnesota there are a couple of mansions built side by side in the late 1890's. They were built in 90 days by a couple of lumber baron families. When the last remeaining member of the family died, she left a 10 million dollar endowment to keep the mansions open for public viewing. Word is they are haunted as well, and one interesting tidbit...The wicked witch from Wizard of Oz..the actress that is...stayed at one of the mansions many times and was friends of the family. Here are some shots of the interiors:

A New routine

By SGVPhotography written 9/7/05 10:12 AM, published 9/7/05 10:12 AM

Well all, it has been awhile since I last visited here. Do not have any pics to share this time. I just wanted to bring you up tp date. I am now in my first semester of college! I am taking an AAS degreed course in Photo Imaging at Central Lakes College in Staples, MN. This school was rated one of the top 4 in the country for photo imaging degree courses. i am real excited and hope to start posting some of my assignments soon. I do feel kind of odd here though, being the old man and all. Everyone here is half my age. One noce thing...I am the only guy in a class of 30 students. The rest are 19 to 23 years old women. well, see ya for now...hope to find time soon to post a few. Miss you guys...stay shooting.

My final post for awhile.

By SGVPhotography written 11/7/04 11:07 PM, published 11/7/04 11:07 PM

Again I am forced to cut costs and my internet connection is first to go. So as a final posting for an undetermined length of time, here is an Popup LinkIris ? I think that is what it is...LOL. And I would like to say in advance...thank you all for your comments....I will check at the library computer in a few days. To all here who are familiar with me and my big mouth...thank you for putting up with my ramblings. To all you fellow photogs...keep your lens clean, batteries fresh, film/media cards stocked....and keep on shooting!!! Love ya all!!!!

Reworked

By SGVPhotography written 10/21/04 10:11 PM, published 10/21/04 10:11 PM

This is a shot I shared last year. I Popup Linkadded the moon to the shot...I think it 'made' the shot. And for anyone poo pooing this....almost ALL pros use this technique to add celestial objects to certain photos. Layering was done in the traditional darkroom for over 100 years...way before PS!! LOL
