A few "Freeze the Action" shots we took on a recent trip to some parks.
  1. Moose  teaching her calf how to fight
  2. Jumping to Get to the other side of the creek.
  3. <ROTFL> ... or just because I lack hands to scratch my backside.

Spring Birds

By SimonHuang written 5/1/07 10:37 PM, published 5/1/07 10:37 PM

Took my camera with me to work and went on a little walk during lunch.  The spring birds returned to the ponds.  I was told that this is a red winged blackbird, who can disagree with the name?

Texas Wild Flower

By SimonHuang written 4/21/06 8:06 PM, published 4/21/06 8:06 PM
Went to see the Texas Popup Linkwildflowers last weekend (I know Miztli beat me to the story) and saw some  Popup Linkstrangers and even strangers with  Popup Linka dog.

However, to keep the flowers wild and beautiful, certain rules have to be followed. It is sad that despite the large warning Popup Linksigns, some on the Popup Linkother side  of the fence just don't listen.

By SimonHuang written 4/17/06 10:21 PM, published 4/17/06 10:21 PM
I learned in geometry class that Popup Linkshells  and sunflowers follow the Fibonacci sequence... and therefore follow the golden ratio.... could someone explain it to me?

For Real?

By SimonHuang written 1/18/06 9:53 PM, published 1/18/06 9:53 PM
I had to look twice to figure out why I had put a ray traced image in my photo album. Turns out, we took this Popup Linkindoor  roller coaster last weekend, but with the geometry and colors(slightly adjusted for the sky) it looked computer generated.

group of Popup Linkducks  hoping that I would feed them popcorn, but I was just there to take pictures.

Ransom Center

By SimonHuang written 8/29/05 9:31 PM, published 8/29/05 9:31 PM

Went to the University of Texas the other day and dropped by the Ransom Center.  This is where they keep a copy of the Gutenberg Bible as well as the Popup Linkfirst photograph.

I liked the exterior Popup Linkglass etches. Currently they have the Ansel Adams display.

Popup Link I can see no limits to the potentials of the great communicative art form of our age - photography.    -  Ansel Adams .

I can't believe that in all the years that I was a student at UT I only went to that building once.
