Horse Eyes - Composition Help?
One of my favorite things to try to capture is a horse's eye, but I can never seem to get the composition quite right. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I was trying to get a shot of the sun setting over the mountains, but I got there a little too late and all my pictures were too dark. So I decided to try turning around and catching the rainbow on the opposite horizon.

Simplicity
Photo Edits, Please Help
In my last post several people suggested I make one of the photos darker. I posted these edits in the comments, but no one responded (hopefully because no one noticed, and not becuase they were being ignored). In this one I reduced the brightness. In this one I adjusted the levels. Which one works best? Or should I try something else?
The goober in the horse's eye in this one was bugging me so I edited it out. But then I kept going - do you think I took out too much?
For the next few I'd like to thank JustPeachy for introducing me to the Orton effect. Here are a couple of my first attempts:
