You may have to hit Ctrl+N for a couple of these.

It's hard to think about getting ready for Christmas when it's 75 degrees outside but some of the Poinsettias are almost ready to ship.

Sometimes though, things don't quite turn out as planned!

Dare to be different.

The only PS I did to these is cropping.

Thanks for looking.

We woke up to a foggy morning last Friday.  It was cold, but the trees were beautiful.

Frosted Bushes
Frosted Evergreen
Frosted Branch
Frosted Needles

And whenever you're out freezing your fingers (and other things) to get a good picture, there's usually someone wondering whatcha doing?

Enjoy

Tribute post

This tribute goes to everyone who posts and/or comments here on Photographica (yes, Beholden, this includes you!)  Although I have only been here for a couple months, I have learned much not only about taking pictures, but as Pyro said "Coloring outside the lines" and stepping outside of what I would usually point my camera at.
To put it simply, I am starting to see the world differently.  Where I used to look and see only this, now I also see this.  Before I only saw this, now I see this, and this as well.  Before I only saw the big picture, now I also see the interesting perspectives and small pieces.  And I had completely given up on ever getting a decent shot of the Moon.
I have always liked to take macros of flowers, it kinda comes with the terratory of working in a greenhouse, but I have found that they are starting to look better too. ZygoBud Zygo1 Zygo2

So here is my Thank You to everyone here for sharing your pictures, stories and advise. and as always, I look forward to hearing what you all have to say about my pictures.

Learning the new camera

I recently got a new camera and I've been trying to learn all it's settings.  Here's some of the pics I've taken recently.

Done for the day.

I fired up the grill to cook some porkchops and was playing while I waswaiting for the coals to be ready.

Just a couple mushroom shots.

And finally a shot that would have make my co-workers wonder about my sanity if they saw it.  We were pouring concrete at work.
