This is part of a whole new era in my life. In the past, I've taken part in numerous "crafts", and that is how I originally stumbled into photography. I wanted a way to market my work as a craftsman. So, I bought myself an upper end point and shoot, (a Fuji Finepix 2800) that I thought would give me some decent pics. to market my crafts, and would therefore pay for itself.

I'd never been into photography, but I found that with a digital camera, it made it accessable to even me. I could take as many pics. as I wanted, and just trash the ones that I didn't like, without any additional cost.

The next thing I knew, I found myself taking pics. at different family events and various other places. (day trips, church events, vacations, etc,,,)

Then one day I decided to submit a few pictures to one of our local TV stations to post on their site, and possibly show briefly during the evening news. (ya, right) The next thing I know, I get an e-mail telling me that they're going to show one of my pictures on the evening news during the weather forecast and,,, BOOM!!! THAT WAS IT!!! Someone (besides my other half, who has always encouraged me) actually thought that my work was worthy of attention!

Since then, I've taken thousands of pictures, looked for feedback and actually started thinking about trying to do something professional with my work.     We'll See
