These are a couple I took this spring in the Northwest Corner of CT  

A few more from Sundays trip.
We took a trail that led us to the South side of the falls.
This is where Birdie slipped on an icy rock and fell in.

It was the last day for ice at the falls, warm weather and rain came in the next day.

Hiked up halfway tryin not to repeat the Bird bath and took one of the
upper falls

We did something we haven't done in a while on Sunday, we packed up the Jeep with all our gear and headed out to take pictures.
We drove up to Campbell Falls located in Norfolk Ct. right on the Mass. border.
It was a cold day and we were lucky to have the whole place to ourselves .

I brought a potential client to a project I completed a couple of years ago.

Turned around and headed back for the camera this morning, the day after a storm usually has good photo ops.
 Scenes you pass every day can come alive with cloud formations or in this case a little fog.

My son Kevin was having a difficult time coming up with a gift idea for his grandma. She's 85 and has enough of the usual things ladies in her age group are apt to be given.
So after some serious thought he asked Me and Birdie to do a photo shoot of him and my daughter.
We were busy setting up different lighting situations and taking practice shots of each other, all the while thinking that Leslie was getting ready for the shoot.
She appeared suddenly checking out the scene, far from ready...

It was Christmas Eve and we still had lots to do and places to be , so off she went, finally, and returned in better form!
We set the SB800's as slaves on tripods and bounced the light off the ceiling for these. Leslie and Kevin

Weather is changing, this is the last of fall in Northwest Ct. Snow is here, skis and snowshoes are out of the closet winter is here

Brought our Golden Retriever to his favorite place and took a few while he was waiting for the stick to fly.
Thought these were a good example of how a polarizing filter can cut the glare..

It was Birdie's first time surf casting, after a short lesson she had herself a fight on her hands.
She hauled in a nice bluefishcatch about 28 inches.
Can't believe I got her to hold it up. yuck
Wildman wasn't so lucky, just got a little filet of sole
