I took these in Dec 08, but as I couldn't get on to this site again til recently I'm going back to pick out some better (I hope) images.

Lionel and Cookie are our lions, they are 22 and 21yrs old and have been together all their lives. The zoo wasn't sure if they brother and sister and the people they got them from were no help so...it's been Lionel and Cookie alone since they were 2 and 1yrs old. Mostly, as all cats do, they sleep, but occasionally when they are awake... He's always around...  Still handsome after all the years... Cookie is very affectionate much to Lionel dismay... A bit grumpy   And more...   Yikes   The things we do for love...

Well here we go, I haven't posted in donkey's years so I'm starting sort of at the beginning... Bongo Close  Kaloa   Seti's eye  Will you watch my back?  Zebra close as you can see the Tiger cubs have grown up nicely, in fact their over 2yrs old and Juillette has already been sent off to New York's Bronx Zoo to start her life there. Kaloa our beautiful male Jaguar is going to finally get a mate and a bigger and better inclosure!

I was cooler on Friday so it was time for a visit... harriet   She's our other baby giraffe...she's 2 month older that Adrea...moving right along...this Lulu the mom of all our Tiger cubs... lulu_2_1004   How about a little Hippo love... odie He was just coming up and the water on his head made me wish I had brought my old star filter! I realized that Beauty the Ocelot couldn't be pregnant, it would have too long. So did the zoo...But she still a little Beauty beauty2923   She was look her most alluring... best_beauty   Branche came over...there something going on here... the_two_bs2 They gave a traditional greeting nose_to_nose2   kiss_head Then I'm the last person to anthropomorphize, but can't you just imagine her saying "Kiss me there...yes...YES'' kiss_me_there

So now to bore you all with the rest of my pictures from the Zoo... Our youngest Giraffe, Adrea... She was named by a man named Bob for his wife...for $ 25,000!!! Then he found out the Zoo won't be keeping Adrea...so he's looking to name another animal that will be staying at the Zoo...found this out from Bob himself... Sweet little Glenda... isn't she cute? Here's another look at them both... Mother and child... And now for something completely different... A little true beauty... For some reason all the good shots I got were of Seti, maybe since he's the biggest cub he doesn't get dragged into some of the other cubs craziness...what ever the reason... Seti not watch where he going...  Seti showing off his new teeth... My good friend Lionel was awake...Lionel at his best... I caught these two relaxing Two old friends...just hanging out...

It was less then 100 degrees out Weds., so we ran over to the Zoo... Beauty the Ocelot may be pregnant!  Then we went down to the Gorillas an saw this rare creature... Baby in the mist...  Kelly, at rest...  Wonder what he could be watching... Glenda nursing in the open for a change...a privilege...  We were captivated...But yes, after a long absence... He's Back!!! A little sleepy but with his Queen... Lovely Cookie and her toys... At the Giraffe's it was business as usual... Nursing time is cleaning time at the Giraffe pen... Time to stroll over to my favorite place, just in time for... Seti up close and personal... As we were leaving we passed the Snow Leopard cage to find... Sabor, Tom and Gerry's dad, back in with Gail to try for more cubs...fingers crossed...        

So we left the Zoo with high good hope for the future (and many more pictures)!

Hi Guys! I been working a lot so I have been around much...so here's the first of my zoo trips... Branche walking his kingdom...  Beautiful little Glenda...  And her mom Rapunzel...  First capture of a very shy Mandrill... She a relatively new female and she been hiding. We're hoping for little Mandrills come Spring... Drape yourself with jewels...  Have a sip...and relax you're at the Zoo the only place you'll find... Rare SoCal Mist Trees...
