I had to announce even though i dont have baby pictures yet.  My daughter is so beautiful  charlotte_profile_ba and to know this face  charlotte_sepia you can only imagine how lucky this new baby boy Aaron 8 lbs 14 oz born on Nov 5th, 2008 will be.  Just being a part of her life has been a blessing for me.   themoms Her foster mother, my daughter, and me.  This story will go on forever.  I will eventually tell you our story but for now you can know that I gave her up for adoption in 1981 and she found me in 1998 and we have been together ever since.  From High School graduation, college graduation, marriage, buying a house, to having my grandson.  Thanks for reading

I found myself outside many nights to listen to the locust, owls, and many crickets.  I never expected to find this. forest_beast_3   No matter what I was not going to disturb the mating rituals of some exotic critter. Beauty as the beast 2   SO the more I looked at them the more I knew that I would not disturb them or the beauty would come after me.  Protecting its mate or something Beauty as the beast 1.  The next day I thought, maybe it was not as I figured.  no_leftovers   How gruesome eh?  Life!  Hope I did not make anyone go nuts.  Creepy to me too.  Sorry it is a little fuzzy, stil trying to know how far away, or how to increase my details in the shot.  Still have the kodak digital.

I love pine trees and even my testing is sincere.  I want the best of pine so we can save them from extinction.  Did you know that as much as we love pines and how they improve our health, they are the first to be cut down for development because they are so skinny?  The diameter is too small for them to be cared about in some places.  Save the pines.  PLEASE!inside pine tree testing cobwebs pine tree details pine tree details 2

SUSHI 101

Have you ever wanted to try sushi but were afraid it was slimy or fishy?   Me too!  I am amazed at how we never want to try anything new because of past fears or attitude.   When I visited the New Zealand café in charlotte, nc with my niece, I had no intentions of eating sushi at all.  I wanted my fish cooked.  Ok, I did not need it fried and maybe not broiled either but it must be cooked my any means.  Then she had me try some salmon on a slab of rice.  Yuk, it was slimy, but the taste was nice.   So I bravely asked the chef, Jackie, what can I try because I know sushi is good for me, but I do not want slimy or fishy.  

This was my first boat with the eel to the left, then a avocado roll with mackerel of course, some yellow tail, scallop, spicy octopus, spicy eel with crunch roll in the back, another roll of mackerel or eel, some mackerel on a slab of rice in front, and the ginger on the side.  This is beautiful to me.

This was a take out order with all the good stuff.  Including clams, crab, smelt roe, salmon, white tuna, scallops, shrimp, lobster, I think, and yummy spicy mayo too.

Left to right  Spicy Scallops, Spicy Octopus.  Back RAINBOW ROLL with sprinkles, Yellowtail, white tuna, and front, MACKEREL, squid, then the brown one is the EEL.  See the lemon has horns, then far right is some hot green stuff, and the pink is sliced ginger.    Isn’t that beautiful?sushi boat with rainbow roll
