So when SurferGuy said that he wanted to see our passions, I knew immideatly what I wanted to show, images of crew(the fancy word for rowing). This will be my third year rowing, and I absolutely love it, and because of it, i have only about 1-2 hours of free time a day.
Most races are far away, before a race, we have to take all the parts off our boats, and put them on a to the water with a , who steers the boat. Then you must . You then have to quickly on a dock so that other boats can use the dock with out being late for a race. Then you anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours in the hot sun, and eventually race a 5-30 minute race.
Although your race may take only 5-30 minutes, you're still there all day to cheer on teammates in different races, which only come every so often. So to keep intertained, we , , take pictures of (this one happens to be that of my coach), and many more time-wasting activities.
Here are some more pictures that didn't make it into my story:
(Note the lack of personal space)
where we keep all our race-day stuff, sleep, and eat.
So that's my passion. Crew rocks. The end.
