I got lucky with this one. I had stopped in the middle of the road to photograph horses and when I focused in I noticed this little guy sitting on the fence. I took full advantage of the moment and I am so glad that I did. I think that he is awesome. So now I might just get the fever to find more of these awesome creatures. Sitting Pretty

Kenny Rogers on the double and Fireworks

By bareftphoto written 6/26/06 4:45 AM, published 6/26/06 4:45 AM

The first night I attended the Chattanooga Riverbend festival we seen Kenny Rogers. He gave a very good concert. The place that we sat to view the concert was the blanket area right in front of the stage. Well the stage is a barge on the Tennessee River so he is way up high. I thought I might be able to get a good photo. But because of the angle "right into the lights" it was darn near impossible. So I stated taking pictures of him on the big screen. This is one I really liked because he looks double exposed. Well I guess he is but I didn't do it. The screen itself was moving from one image to another and I just happened to shoot at that exact time.Popup LinkKenny on the double I would hope that Mr.Rogers could appreciate this photo since he is a very accomplished photographer himself. Check out his web site. He has some of his photographs to view there. He reminds me of Ansel Adams in his style. The rest of the photos are of the fireworks at the end of the festival on Saturday night.Popup Linkfireworks 1 Popup LinkFireworks 2 Popup LinkFireworks 3 I hope you like.

Last week I went to the Chattanooga Riverbend festival and enjoyed a lot of good music. I also took advantage of using my camera. This first picture was taken right at dusk of a person selling all sorts of goodies that lite up. Popup Linkilluminated person Because she was moving and so were the lights this is how it came out. The next three are from the fireworks on Saturday night to end the festival. They are also my first attempt ever at shooting fireworks. Old Cemetary Traces of Time

By bareftphoto written 5/22/06 4:36 PM, published 5/22/06 4:36 PM
My husband and I went fishing at nick a jack lake in Tennessee last week. He took me to a part of the lake that use to be a cemetary. You see the lake was man made. It was impounded in the 1960's. Before this it was farm country. Supposedly before they flooded the land they relocated everything. Well almost. See for yourself.Popup Link5 If you look real close you can see the rock built up around the graves. Popup Link6 Popup Link7 When we got closer on the boat you could see the top of the graves were so flat. I could have gotten out and walked on them. It was all so surreal. The graves were marked from the late 1800's. When I saw this weeks challenge I immediately thought of these pictures.
