This is one of my nieces, Popup LinkDestinyDestiny, and a picture I took of her in the park.  She shows very "sweet emotions" here I think.  :)

Grand Tetons

So glad I didn't have to drive in these, coming thru Yellowstone was bad enough but just looking at the Tetons was enough to give me chills when thinking about driving in them.  Popup LinkTetons Black and White I do like the angle and how the mountains look as if they run into the Snake River.  Let me know how you like.

Tree

This tree is located at Devil's outlook in the Big Horn National Recreation Area in Wyoming.  Popup LinkTree Sorry about the fence but it is very high and I am glad the fence was there.  :)  The sun was setting on my left and a little behind and the light just seemed different.  Kind of a strange picture to me too.  :)

Cain, Wyoming

By bjtindle written 4/10/06 1:20 AM, published 4/10/06 1:20 AM

These three photos are from buildings that use to be located in Cain, Wyoming.  (I believe that was the name of the town) Popup LinkLonely House I  The houses in Cain, which was a small town of about 30 people I guess, was torn down to create a wildlife habitat. Popup LinkLonely House II The Wildlife Habitat is inside the Big Horn National Park and is about 30 miles from where I live.  These homes are now about 1 mile from where I live. (By the reservoir of course)Popup LinkLonely House III I like to go and take pictures of the area.  There is an old train, a pile of junk which looks like it is the "stairway to heaven" etc...very interesting.  Lots of weeds tho so I always make sure I am wearing long pants and high socks/shoes.  Kind of sad to see the remains of a town not even where it was but displaced. Hope you all like.

One of many beautiful sunsets...

This Popup LinkSunset  is also taken at the reservoir near my home, it is about a mile from my house and during the summer it is great for a quick getaway.  We go to fish and relax.  Lots of water, birds, and bugs.

Cowgirls

By bjtindle written 4/9/06 4:30 AM, published 4/9/06 4:30 AM

I am a city girl, born and bred.  However, I now live in the country, very rural. Love it.  I have found that I love taking pictures of rodeos and can't wait to take more.  The very first time I ever tried every single picture in the roll came out blurry.  I was devastated.  But....I think I am catching on finally.  This is from a rodeo in either Cowley, WY.  At this rodeo I sat above the chutes.  Learned that the first time too!  I love the movement in the horse, the energy and the action.   Anyway, this is how country girls live....Popup LinkCowgirl

Last Light ....second chance

By bjtindle written 4/8/06 1:54 PM, published 4/8/06 1:54 PM
I love this photo.  It was taken near my home at the reservoir where we go fishing during the summer. Summer was almost over and the day was too. Popup LinkLast Light I love how everything is reflected so nicely upon the surface of the water.  Glad I take the pictures, I don't think my nieces and nephew ever notice these things (they are still young, all under 11) and the pictures will be around for them to look at later.

Smokey the Bear

By bjtindle written 4/7/06 3:42 AM, published 4/7/06 3:42 AM
I moved to Deaver, Wyoming in 2001. Deaver is about 70 miles northeast of Yellowstone National Park and this sign is/was (road work since, it is now gone to my disappointment) outside of Powell, WY.  I hope you can read it.  Seeing this sign reminded me of all the "Smokey the Bear" commercials which were on television when I was growing up.  Preventing forest fires was the goal.  When I saw this sign I felt both sad and happy, nostalgic. :) I am glad I took a picture before it was taken down. Hope you all like it.
