  • Biography

I started taking pictures as a child, with my Brownie box camera (won in a supermarket raffle).  If you know what that is, then you are probably as old as I am.  I made the change from 35mm to digital a few years ago, and love the freedom of "touching up" otherwise almost great photos (and dumping the loads of not-so-great shots).
Living in Puget Sound provides endless opportunities for nature and scenic photography which is my first love.
  • Artist's Statement

Good photography is all in the "eyes" - you can learn techniques - but you are born with the eyes.
  • Camera Equipment

    Olympus E-520 SLR
    ass't lenses - favorite, most-used is 18-180mm

Olympus SP-565UZ - basically a much newer and better version of the C-765 below. . . all the bells and whistles that have been added in the last 5 years, incl. 10 megapixel, 20x zoom.

    Olympus Camedia C-765 - more than a point&shoot-good manual and auto-capability.

    Casio Exilim EX-Z850 - my pocket/purse camera.

Last film camera (LOVED this baby) Olympus OM-2 - that camera took me through many years of happy shooting.  Still have it - but don't use it.

Actually, I "lurked" on this sight for over a year before I signed on, and some of the photography on this site is magnificent - as good as anything out there.  Love getting to "know" people by the shots they take and the stories they tell.
