I'd like you all to meet my favourite red-head in the whole world..
My Favourite Red Head
Another favourite subject of mine is this old paint brush..
The old paint brush
Here is my entry for What Is It? I love to play with DOF, and really, one can diguise almost anything with it. This shouldn't be too dificult though.
What Is It
My daily flower/plant is this bud. I love to isolate the beauty that I see in this scruffy old foliage that I have in my back yard. Once again very narrow DOF.
Glowing
BTW, did anone else have difficulty with the site, earlier today?

I am trying to motivate myself to post at least 4 images each day. I anticipate being able to get out and about pretty soon, and offer something other than "oldies" and macros shot in my back yard, thanks for bearing with me.

This first one is one of the first shots I made with my Nikon S1, which is the tiniest camera I've ever owned, and the results from this little thing just amazed me!

Barbeque Dessert

This is (one of many) of my patriotic efforts. Being a (grateful) naturalized American, I enjoy photographing Our Flag.

The Fourth

Definitely not the most photogenic subject, but definitely a "non-cooperative" one

Sparrow

This is another image shot with the Nikon S1, and manipulated in PS. It's a detail of a cactus flower.

what is it?

Thanks for looking, and any comments.

Wow, this place sure has changed since I last posted anything. Very nice!! These are my "practice posting" pics.
Hope it works!

Hungry Bee

Dewdrops

Underfoot

San Diego Zoo circa1983

The bee, the dewdrops and the rocks were all shot with my Nikon D-70. The gorilla was scanned from a chrome I shot way back around 1983.
Thanks for looking, any comments would be welcomed.

More Shadows...

I'm really glad I found this site! This "contest" has been such a great incentive - without leaving my home, I have found images where there were none! so to speak..

Shadows on the GrillAn unusual thing happened when I uploaded this first image..it said everything had uploaded OK..but, three times, all that uploaded was the title and an empty space! Then on an impulse I changed the title, and, voila, here it is, is this a common occurence? Anyone had the same thing happen? ..no problems with this one

...nor with this one, even though it is just a weed!
