Hey yall!
I know....I'm two weeks late with my resolution of commenting more, but the plant where I work has gone from starving us to death to working us to death...6 days a week. Anyway here are a few from the SC Botanical Garden.falls ,camellia camellia path cabin And of course my very favorite color PURPLE beautyberry. Now a few from my Dad's place....you're probably familiar with it. But anyhow...dog house windmill. Since you all have seen so much of my Dad's place, I wanted to introduce you...My Daddy Harry Freeman He's 71 years old and still wide open.
Nother Happy New Year
Even though I don't get to participate as much as I'd like, I do check the site and look at the photos everyday. My resolution is to comment on more pics. Here's to you PHOTOGRAPHICA Happy New Year.
Freeman-Young Christmas Eve

I'm a Freeman and my son is a Young, thus the title. We always open presents on Christmas Eve. My Mother started the tradition since we always went to my grandfather's on Christmas Day. These are all from today. The kids had to go home to Mom by 3:00 pm. The sadness of divorce. Anyway here are a few pics from Nana's. These are also my theme entry. A child's excitement. Haley gets a surprise . Stephen (aka) doodle bug seems to struggle with his gift . Although this was intended for Haley, we big kids have to teach it to speak english instead of Furbish . I'm havin fun now ;) I'll try not to teach it bad language. My doodle bug wanted a hoodie and Nana delivered.Elgin is so wonderful with the kids, they love him very much. Daddy also helps with the screws and wires. What's up with all that? I never had any trouble tearing into mine. Now, it takes "tools" to get into em. It seems Haley is contemplatingwhat to do with this. I think Elgin likes the Furby too. He called it a butthead and its ears dropped in a very sad expression. My little dogs were not forgotten, they got squeaky toys. Merry Christmas to everyone. Behave yourselves on New Year's or at least have a designated driver.
Photo Contest Results
I went to the awards ceremony this morning. I got honorable mention for both entries. I finally decided on the following 2 images. I wanted the $$$ but at least I was recognized. The photos will be displayed in the libraries in Oconee county. September Sunset and Freeman Pond I did some color correcting on the pond photo before I entered it. The 8x10 looks better than this one.
Fall Colors in SC
Here are a few pics from my little area of the world. Some of them you may recognize.First is from the park in Westminster ramsey creek red berries, suspension bridge, Chauga River. And at brasstown falls. And the rest are from my Dad's place. Freeman Pond, hut, pond bank, across the pond, trees, leaves woods. It's turned very windy, so I may not get anymore, but altogether I've taken 118 pics. I guess that'll do til next year.
The last Cruise Post
I did this last night but as I was previewing, somehow I forgot to click submit...oh well, one of those moments I guess. Here's Jerome, our taxi driver for the day. He drove us around Ocho Rios and we stopped at a roadside vendor. He grew his own bananas and some beautiful flower. Further down the road this guy on stilts walked right out in front of uscrazy mon.I didn't know it was so hilly down there, here's a beautiful home on a hill, and a view from another hill.Another flower. One of the many beaches is called Mahogany Beach. We went to Island Village and found Bob Marley, and Margaritaville. After returning to the ship we bid farewell to Jamaica. It was rather cloudy the entire trip but I got one decent sunset. And later that night we found anothertowel animal. The next day we relaxed around the pool deck it was too windy everywhere else. This was our last little friend left by our room steward. There was an automatic door right behind me here and people just had to come in and out alot, so it's kinda out of focus night view. The next morning we left Miami and I felt like I could walk right out on heaven's floor. We landed in Atlanta and our vacation was over. Aerial shots by Elgin. And one last pic not taken by us, my favorite of all the formal portraits they took. formal. BusyB, tomorrow I'll have some fall colors from around here for you and all to see.
Views from Grand Cayman
Ok the first shot is me going for breakfast. And the next one is inside the ship .Ok one more, towel animal the room steward made one of these little things about 3 different nights. Now for the island. It was pouring rain all day so some of these are a little dark. fountain . wet street. our ship Elgin with a pirate window shopping crowded everyone was huddled under a store awning. There were 2 ships in town that day. pirates the island back on board I'll have Jamaica pics tomorrow.
Honey I'm Home!!

We finally made it back home yesterday. After massive security checkpoints at the pier, we finally boarded the ship. We started to leave Miami. We saw some Wilma damage .I saw the sun shining on this one building. We had to back up and redock because someone already got hurt I think it was just a broken ankle. And we were off again.Of course Elgin had to check out the casino .Here's a view of the Grand Atrium inside our ship. And an ocean view .We were on our way to eat here. And oh boy did we eat! The next morning we had a little visitor for breakfast. There several birds in the dining room. Hmmm, makes me wonder how many birds are picked up outside the USA. That's all for now, I'll share more tomorrow. We went to Grand Cayman and Jamaica.
Just snapshots

Since my car is in the shop, I can't go very much. So here are a couple of snapshots from a couple of weeks ago. I seem to be into black and white lately. My grand daughter at the playground. And my grandson swingin around. As for the photo contest in my county, I've decided on these two. Headed Home and Elgin I'll turn them in next week and get the results sometime in late Nov.
