Victoria's Secret Pain
Imagine being beautiful...all the time...hair always in place, dressed in the finest, stylish clothes, having the attention and adoration of a select group of friends. Sounds wonderful...except for the fact that you can't move unless someone moves you. You can't put into words the things that you want to say...and even if you had the words...they would fall unsaid, silent from a mouth incapable of movement. Imagine never being able to have one original thought pass through your head. Never being able to run, jump, laugh, sing, shout or enjoy all of the other things that children get to do everyday. Imagine having to be dependent on everyone for everything everyday for the rest of your existance....hoping against all hope that the day never comes when you're forgotten and tossed aside.Imagine the pain...Imagine the hurt...Imagine the feelings of rejection......
This day arrived today for
Victoria

Right Around the Corner
I left the house today and turned the corner about 300 yards from my driveway and came across this beauty sitting by the side of the road....I just couldn't pass it by.
Now What?
This is kind of an invisibility thing...kind of...There's something still there wrapped up in our memories...in our lives...in our soul...of those who touched us. I've read a number of tributes here lately that speak of those loving moments that linger still in our lives...
This is for my dad...six years gone now, and I miss him...but he is still every bit in my heart.
These have nothing to do with him personally...but it speaks of a time of reunion....

The beauty of it is I have the confidence of a great joy and hope
The Escape Part Two
...well kiddies yesterday as I left you we were part way to my destination. So as I left the lake the scenery started becoming more and more dramatic and I began to see sights like these All of these lie at the foot of Mt Baker in northwestern Washington....it (Baker) towers over all of these "hills"....I don't really have a picture of it because it was covered with clouds the whole time...I have a couple that I'll post tomorrow that might add some perspective to it...
An Escape
The other morning (Friday) I decided that I needed a day off. I wanted to go to one of my favorite places which is about 2 hours from the house...so I got all of my gear together...loaded up the truck and got up early in the morning and took off. I got about a mile from my place...looked in my rear view mirror and saw the
Still a little later in the day I came to this wonderful
mountain lake...it was awesome...I had it all to myself....except for two bears that were on the other side...didn't want to get too close to take their pictures.... About 30 minutes later I got back in the truck and went a couple of miles and had to stop again for this
view......all of this and I still haven't made it to my destination.............tomorrow I'll give you the next few miles of my trip.
Bugaboo, tomorrow I'll show you where I go to cool off on those hot days. Here, if it gets to be 75 degrees, it begins to get a little uncomfortable. a couple of weeks ago we set records here when we hit 97 degrees. I thought I was dying....
Struck a Chord With Me
I went on a road trip today...(more to come on that)...but I stopped to eat at an old "roadhouse" grill. It was pretty eclectic....but over in one corner there was this old antique, beat up piano that I thought was kind of cool.
Out In Left Field
Here are some things that I shot while driving around the other day...
The Front
Wheel Cover
Steered In the Right Direction
Fuse Shun
And now for something completely different......
A little PS work....
Birds of a Coming War
Old Memories
A place for old memories....
Unopened Doors
What dreams are lost, and hopes bound...
what promises knotted,
what loves fettered,
untouched...unexplored
just beyond
the unopened door???
Keep Moving
Swinger
This reminds me when I was a little younger and quite a "swinger"....
