Man Made Lines

It so often starts with a dream, a vision of something wonderfully panoramic and spectacular focused in the mind of the dreamer.  With sweat, tears, frustration, and a persistence the dream begins to take shape through the dogged, determination of the builder.  Hope is built upon these things.....Make Way For Hope  Hope is the seed from which great ideas are born...

And when Hope and Faith are coupled....great things can happen....Hope Realized

Abandonment

By jam9663 written 5/7/07 10:05 PM, published 5/8/07 11:05 AM

There is nothing that epitomizes the feeling of loss and dispair as the act of willful abandonment.  Yet, so often it is that in these places of loss and sorrow that we "find" ourselves.

The Masses, The Individualist, and The Defeated

By jam9663 written 4/17/07 5:38 PM, published 4/18/07 7:39 AM

There used to be a time in this country when we were taught to think for ourselves...in fact we were encouraged in that effort.  To be an individualist was not considered to be a bad thing, yet today it seems that to espouse your own opinion that is contrary to that of the popular notion brings with it the damnation of the masses.  To speak of morality, honesty, truth, valor, honor, strength, fortitude, fidelity, brotherhood...has seemingly become taboo.  Yet, we see daily that we are wanting in all of these things...we see it on the news, at work, in the homes, on the street.  What used to be called good is no longer considered good...and things once thought to be bad is flaunted and held high as a standard.  I don't mean to be preaching here...I'm just sick of all the "stuff" going on in this country and am not afraid to say so.

Tension

By jam9663 written 4/6/07 12:57 PM, published 4/9/07 7:08 PM

It starts out as a distraction and becomes an annoyance.  It builds into a mounting pressure as it twists into your very being....it gets "knotted up" inside of you....it builds into a great seemingly, insurmountable, impassable problem.......and finally, it happens, you crack....you lose it and you're split apart on the inside.

A Fine April Day

By jam9663 written 4/2/07 9:56 PM, published 4/3/07 5:12 PM

It started with snow.....snow on the second day of April....go figure.  That's what happens when you live in a "convergence zone".  When the sun came out this afternoon I knew I had to get out into the day.  This is a place I used to go to years ago but have not frequented in the last five years.  It was just like I left it...quiet, serene, yet screamingly beautiful.  And I still had it all to myself....so I thought I would share it here.....
