It's almost a "good" picture...using the follow settings...

Any suggestions?
Different ISO, Apeture, or shutter speed?

Clouding The Issue

By jam9663 written 10/22/06 1:43 AM, published 10/23/06 5:44 AM

Well the rains finally came back home to Washington.  It rained all day the other day, one of those long, slow, steady rains...8 hours...with no change in intensity or volume...constant rain.  It is supposed to rain again tomorrow evening and on into Monday...  Seeing how today was absolutely gorgeous I thought I would practice some things during the break.  I am trying to go completely manual mode so I've been experimenting lately...these are what I came up with today.....and I am open to suggestions.

In the Valley of Sultans

By jam9663 written 10/17/06 5:38 PM, published 10/18/06 5:46 AM

Well ok, everyone knows there are no sultans here in Washington.  We have a few Democratic Senators that think they should be sultans, but.....  Anyway, there is a little town here called Sultan and these are a few images of the countryside surrounding it.

Yard Work

By jam9663 written 10/14/06 10:24 PM, published 10/16/06 7:59 AM

I was out working in the yard today...it was overcast...cool but not cold...one of those "tweener" days...in between fall and winter.  Anyway when I got finished with the yardwork I decided to play with the camera for awhile.  This is what I came up with today...

We had our first frost this morning...at least down here at our elevation.  I saw these on the way into work this morning and thought that these guys just don't want to let go of summer yet.

The Time Of Year

By jam9663 written 10/8/06 7:38 PM, published 10/8/06 7:38 PM

It's funny how the seasons change during this time of year and how it affects people in different ways.

Fall creeps in silent-like, unannounced.
Winter follows too quickly and hits like ..hard charging Marines

To me this is my favorite time of year so I love all of the changes...but I know some people that at the first hint of cold just want to scream!

Can This Be Fixed In PS???

By jam9663 written 10/4/06 10:35 PM, published 10/4/06 10:35 PM

I came up to a stop light today and saw this on my right...I grabbed my camera and very quickly tried to shoot this before the light changed.  I didn't have a chance to go back and try again...it's at a pretty busy intersection.  Anyway, I love the look of this with the clouds and the plane in the background.  It looks a little washed out to me......so is there anything I can do to fix this....or is it one for the round file???
