Yesterday morning, on the way to work, the sky was fantastic, and I got the silly idea of taking a few pictures on the way to work. Probably has to do with the fact that rain was in the forecast for today. My fiance works in northwest Portland, so I was already in the vicinity, so I decided to take some shots of the Fremont from an angle that we don't see every day.
Almost directly under the bridge, or one of the feeder onramps, there is a
school. Don't ask me which one, I didn't even realize it was a school when I took it...
Over where Naito Parkway goes under the bridge, I took
this shot. Here it is again in
b&w. I really like the b&w version. I thought about editing out the power lines. But doing it right would take some time. If I were going to sell the photo, I would definitely take the time...
A few feet to the right, I was directly under the bridge.

This morning, I made it downtown before the sun came up. So I went across the bridge and got set up and took some pictures of downtown Portland as the sun was coming up.
Today, for lunch, I drove over to Pro Photo Supply and bought myself a level to attach to the hotshoe of my Canon 20D. That way, I could take panoramas and have them turn out pretty level and good.
I went through my photo archive to come up with this set of theme photos. Next time, I'll try getting new ones...
