spent a couple of days in Popup Linknew york recently. walked around Popup Linkchinatown for a while. learned that 2006 will be the  Popup Linkyear of the dog. walked up to  Popup Linklittle italy, ate dinner at a place called Popup Linkla mela, which means "the apple" in italian.
up in midtown, we saw the Popup Linkempire state building, the  Popup Linkchrysler building,  and Popup Linkbryant park. we saw lots of Popup Linkskyscrapers, Popup Linkskyscraper 2, and Popup Linkthey saw us. that night we went to Popup Linktimes square; the place was jammed with people and just buzzing with a Popup Linkcrazy energy.
next day, it was back down to Popup Linklower manhattan to see the Popup Linkworld financial center, Popup Linksouth street seaport, the mix of Popup Linkold and new, and more Popup Linkskyscrapers 3, Popup Linkskyscraper 6.  we even took a ride on the Popup Linkstaten island ferry. a pleasant time was had by all. enjoy!

just a few common things around the house, looking for some texture mostly. like a Popup Linkknife handle,  Popup Linklace curtain,  Popup Linkoak cabinet carving,  Popup Linkblinds with the little pull up thing. this one's Popup Linknot funny.
this series was taken in front of an old mirror and has a nice impressionist painting kind of quality to it: Popup Linkmirror flower 1,  Popup Linkmirror flower 2,  Popup Linkmirror flower 3, and  Popup Linkmirror flower 4. what would life be without Popup Linkmusic?
i'd like to see Popup Linkjack go over Popup Linkthis one

WARNING: YOU MUST BE 21 OR OLDER TO CONTINUE!! IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED, PLEASE LEAVE NOW!!

who wants to see my Popup Linkfuzzy balls? whoa, that's Popup Linkmore like it. my favorite Popup Link zero-carb adult beverage, and  Popup Linkafter a couple. before Popup Linkjoint; after Popup LinkJoint. and finally, which do you like the best: Popup Linkspread cherries or Popup Linktight cherries?  i'm new here so i don't know you very well. hope you're laughing. if not, sorry, i did warn you.

road trip part 3

so, after chelly, it was Popup Linkon the road into utah. we stopped to take a picture of Popup Linkchurch rock; the cloud makes it more interesting i think. it was Popup Linkstormy at times on the way up to Popup Linkmonument valley. this was one of the places i'd dreamed about visiting for years, and it was really cool, but i thought Popup Linkvalley of the gods was nicer. Popup Linksmaller scale, Popup Linkyuccas in bloom, even Popup Linkan arch. and very cool  Popup Linkrock formations like monument valley.
arches national park was next. there was Popup Linkwall street,  Popup Linkbalancing rocks,  Popup Linkwildflowers, and of course, Popup Linkan arch. what's the first thing you think of when you see Popup Linkthis?  for me it was: erika badu.
more utah shots: Popup Linkescalante i think; Popup Linkyucca buds.
on to Popup Linkbryce canyon national park.  Popup Linkthese are called Popup Linkhoodoos. they are the rock that's left after everything else has eroded away. so after a few million years, you have Popup Linkthis, or Popup Linkthis. we got there in the Popup Linklate afternoon.  we spent the next day seeing the park. at 9000 feet, there was still a little Popup Linksnow in the hoodoos. the different colors indicate different elements in the rock. do you see the  Popup Linkcathedral arches, or the Popup Linkcastle on the hill?
next to bryce is zion national park. along the way we found this Popup Linklittle creek showing eons of Popup Linkerosion. in zion, we walked a trail on a hot day to a Popup Linkcool pool. there were  Popup Linklittle rocks at the base of a small waterfall, which is what Popup Linkbig rocks become eventually. looks like a hawk standing guard, doesn't it?
this is the home stretch now people, stay with me... on the way back to vegas we stopped at the valley of fire state park in nevada. hottest day (95) of the 6 weeks so far. a great day for Popup Linksome critters. this place was all about Popup Linkred rocks and deep blue sky. very cool Popup Linkshapes in the Popup Linkrock, not all of it as Popup Linkred. and that's about it. after almost 6 weeks on the road, back to vegas, for for 2 nights of Popup Linksophistication, or Popup Linknot, before our flight home. once again, thanks for looking and sorry it's soooo long.

road trip part 2

so after idaho, it's over to the Popup Linkseething cauldron that is Popup Linkotherworldly yellowstone. Popup Linkmammoth springs was very cool; there were Popup Linkbubbling blue pools all over the place. the Popup Linkgrand tetons were one of the most beautiful sights of the entire trip. very majestic. Popup Linkjackson lake was very pretty, though it was still mostly ice-covered, even in may.
this is called the Popup Linkcolorado national monument. it's near grand junction. there were some really cool Popup Linkhollows in the rock. the  Popup Linkroad to get up there was amazing. saw lots of  Popup Linkweather effects up there. i couldn't leave colorado without getting a picture of the Popup Linkaspens. i have to mention the Popup Linkmesa verde anasazi ruins also.
we crossed the Popup Linkrio grande canyon on a heavily overcast day on our way to Popup Linknew mexico. lots of color in Popup Linktaos  and Popup Linksanta fe. a very  Popup Linkmagical place.  Popup Linkturquoise is THE color out here, Popup Linkdoors, Popup Linkwindows, Popup Linkeverywhere. i really find Popup Linkstore windows Popup Linkinteresting to photograph.
Popup Linkleaving new mexico, it was back into arizona and up to canyon de chelly, with its Popup Linkspider rock, more cool Popup Linkerosion, and more Popup Linkanasazi ruins waaay down there.
this is getting pretty long, and i still have a ways to go before we get back to vegas. looks like part 3. thanks for looking.

road trip part 1, first-time poster

By jhowl written 8/24/05 8:28 AM, published 8/24/05 8:28 AM

this past spring i spent 6 weeks out west seeing this beautiful country. 7692 miles in our rented Popup Linkconvertible. picture this huge loop: Popup Linklas vegas, out to the Popup Linkgrand canyon, down through the Popup Linkdesert, to Popup Linkjoshua tree nat'l park. off to Popup Linksanta monica and Popup Linkhollywood. oh, and along the way we had to hit route 66, and passed through the used-to-be town of Popup Linkseligman, az. then it was up the coast, to Popup Linksanta barbara,  Popup Linkbig sur, to  Popup Linkthe city by the bay. since we were "on the road", we had to see  Popup Linkkerouac's cafe. up route 1 along the Popup Linksonoma coast, then the Popup Linkmendocino coast. continuing north, we saw the Popup Linkredwoods in humboldt county. on to Popup Linkoregon, across the Popup Linkhigh plains, and into idaho to see  Popup Linkernest hemingway's grave. the pint of jack daniel's was a nice touch. so was thePopup Linkraven in the graveyard. rather than make this too long, i'll post the rest as part 2. thanks for Popup Linklooking.
